Canelo is like Bivol. No different. He prefers performing sharp and responsibly and he is not really a hard hitter for his weight class.

He only stops guys that are weak enough ( Saunders, Plant) or shot ( Kovalev).

Canelo is a decision fighter. People should get it, finally.
Canelo hasn't been as active with his jab or to the body as he once was that's probably the reason he isn't getting as many stoppages, he's become overly reliant on power, which isn't great.

Don't know where the comparison to Bivol came from, Bivol wins through a disciplined gameplan, volume, footwork and his power jab.

None of the above things Canelo is really known for except arguably a disciplined gameplan.

He's flatfooted, his volume is on the decline big time and his jab is barely being used anymore...

BJS weak WTF!? he barely stumbled when he got his face broke, now Plant and Kovalev I agree with but BJS not so much...

He predicted a KO win, but changed his mind mid fight and decided he'd go 12 instead?

To be fair, his die hard fans are likely gullible enough to buy it.

Canelo is a merciful cash cow. He knows him battering and brutally KO’ing Munguia would hurt his stock as a future Mexican draw. He wants Munguia to go on and do great things so his win looks better down the line similar to how Floyd fans hype up Canelo so that his win against a young weight drained Canelo looks better in hindsight.

          What guy.

Canelo means he "carried Munguia" like they used to say in boxing. He didn't want to humiliate a fellow Mexican. Not really too exciting because most knew it would happen.

If Canelo fights Berlanga like they are saying, you will see a more vicious Canelo. He is all about the "superiority" of Mexico. Viva Mexico etc. such a great country and so peaceful.

i don’t think it will be Berlanga; the backlash will be too fierce for Canelo and DAZN if they try to offer up that garbage fight. I think Turki has signed Crawford for a reason and held off making any offers up to this point for a reason: He’s trying to line up Canelo-Crawford for November. Since Canelo’s says it’s all about the money and that he isn’t afraid of losing, let’s see if he’s true to his word and accepts the Saudi money to fight Crawford and risk the embarrassment of losing to a guy who was a welterweight a year ago.

And he WILL lose to Crawford.

I wish Munguia had taken just a few more pages out of Bivol's map (obviously you cannot change who you are to the core). He had some great success in several areas, but he allowed (and I am not trying to make the alternative sound easy) Canelo to trap him over and over.
Canelo fought a truly fantastic fight and I do not think anyone can say it was because he was fighting someone who was not good. Rather - it is because he is that good.
I am not a Canelo fan - I was going for Munguia, but I hope Canelo beats Benavidez just to shut everyone up.
