Bivol to face Zinad on June 1

Dmitry Bivol will defend his title vs. Libya's Malik Zinad on June 1 following Artur Beterbiev's withdrawal. Deontay Wilder vs. Zhilei Zhang has been elevated to the new main event.

    Zinad is 22-0 with 16 KO's, ranked #9 by BoxRec, #10 Ring.

Sucks that Beterbiev is injured. That's a long healing time. 6 month recovery is standard.

It is what it is. It is better than staying inactive. I just want them to keep Bivol active, with or without beterbiev.

Bivol should just fight Benavidez somewhere in september/october. Beterbiev will need a long layoff.

Zinad is a big strong unbeaten 175 guy. He is unknown, but he is 175 guy at least.

I understand Benavidez can`t just drop Gvozdyk fight. He would be sued.

Hopefully Bivol - Benavidez next after that.

          It is what it is

Bertebiev is an old man, he might never recover tbh.

Horrible replacement. Probably shouldn’t be the main event anymore.
No top liner is going to fight Bivol on a few weeks notice, its a stay busy fight while Beterbiev heals.

I know you like to ride Bivol a lot, but seriously bro... Zinad is a side dish, nothing to brag about... Aslo, Benavidez won't go trough Govzdyk like butter... In fact I'll put my $$$$ on The Nail for that one... That's where you'll see that Benavidez has no chance against Bivol...Gonna be Zurdo all over again...

Ok, Bivol still can fight Gvozdyk if Gvozdyk can beat Benavidez.

Thing is it is unclear when will Beterbiev be ready. Bivol should not waste time sitting on his ass.

I guess it means Zinad is available. Till there is an official announcement nothing is donne.

Buatsi, Yarde would be nice. Morrel would be great.

Eiffert is decent, considering he is IBF mandatory and will be in the way of better fights soon.

Giving him an easy opponent as don't want to risk him losing so they can still put on Bivol Beterbiev. I think their plan is still to make the fight end of the year
