I happen to be more intelligent than you making your point beneath me. Not even going to ask how being a boxing fan has anything to do with anything though I suspect it can't be much better than this first point lol.

There's really nothing very intelligent about that response.
"I happen to be more intelligent than you"

Maybe you are. I referred to the intellectual level of most posts and discussions on boxing forums and the presumed average intelligence of those who write them. They largely consist of posts about who could beat up who, and in this case that we are talking about, "shut up and trust the authorities".

The fact that the Haneys took 1.5 mil to let Ryan run roughshod on the rules cuts into their credibility too. Ryan said he couldn't make weight, brains say, he means to cheat, but the Haneys bit the worm.

I was quoting you about the intelligence I wasn't saying I was more intelligent than you.

What did any of what you just stated above have to do with a point made? That's what I was saying

Sorry, I'm losing the plot. What is the point in question? My position in short is I think it likely that they are trying to set up Garcia and I do not trust VADA.

Question about this place: When I logged on here just before I saw a number of "notifications" above, responses to my posts, but I went to one and now the others have vanished. How can I find the others that were there before? Where did they go?

Whyte got cleared by his B sample in an extremely rare occasion so I wouldn't put it past me if that somehow happens here. Too much money to tarnish.
Yes, you make a very good point. VADA and the NYSAC had sat on Ryan’s positive test results for several days prior to the report being disclosed to the public.

I am pretty sure they were attempting to give him every benefit of a doubt because they wanted to protect both his name and reputation but most of all the integrity of boxing.

I believe they were preparing to let Ryan Garcia walk and off the hook. Until some whistleblower leaked those positive test results to the media.

You’re right. They were fully aware of Ryan Garcia’s immense popularity among casual fans and his financial contributions to the sport.

Which was the reason why they waited so long to confirm those results. I believe that VADA proceeded with extreme caution and due diligence when testing Ryan’s A samples.

It’s because they didn’t want to believe that those positive tests results were true. Had that been any other fighter other than Ryan; They would’ve been suspended by now.

The system is buggy. My suggestion? This is what I do anyway, look at all the responses and divide them by thread. Instead of responding to each notification separately, respond to all of them by thread. For example, if you have four notifications and two of them are in one thread, respond to those first. Then go back to the subsequent notifications.

Otherwise the system has a tendency to take all similar threaded responses and disappear them. That's definitely happened to me a few times lol.

I'll entertain any idea. But unfortunately some things are binary. In this case whether somebody took a substance or not. Garcia would have to really be able to prove something of this nature.

                    Thanks!

Suppose at work they approached you and told you that your drug test came back positive for, say, heroin. You might say, "Hell no I never even saw heroin let alone took it!" But how could u prove that if they are telling u your test was positive for heroin and you're now fired. Maybe they just wanted u out of there so the boss's cousin could get your job. Too much room for corruption and deceit, especially in such a notoriously corrupt sport as boxing. You could ask for the B sample, but it's the same crew handling that. You could ask for another drug test, but then they could just say well, it's out of your system now.

So many in pro sports - and amateur sports too - are taking illegal substances - and legal substances - and the line between them can be blurred - and then they can change the rules overnight - like the crooked VADA outfit did to Povetkin a few years ago when they found out he was taking some perfectly legal supplement from the health food store, so they declared it illegal overnight.

So many athletes are taking legal and illegal supplements, and a lot of times it boils down to who can afford the better doctor so he can tell them how to beat the drug tests, so in my opinion at this point in time just legalize everything. Put the VADA and WADA crooks out of business. Maybe there could be some sort of exception made for those who grossly and obviously abuse heavy duty drugs, like u see bodybuilders and wrestlers doing.

Well you're talking about a problem with conspiracies. I'm sympathetic. Conventionally if you're in a room with three people and try to keep a secret, statistically you'll probably blow that secret. Yet somehow, there are conspiracies. They have come to be at times.

Can a boxer be conspired against? Absolutely. Again, the problem is, the need to show the nature of the conspiracy and the proof. If you study conspiracies you'll see that when they are well made they're virtually impossible to prove. That's assuming somebody is willing to believe them the first place. I could give you lots of examples and have over threads over the years here.

For example, Disclosures a big one. And if you read the history of someone like Billy Meyer you will see how photos were doctored then attributed to him, etc. A boxer certainly can be a victim of such a process.

Yeah steroids are taken, and if you really look at enhancements steroids are only a small part of them. How much are we to deny people enhancements? What is the difference between a steroid and some other process of changing The way the body metabolizes? These are all very pithy issues. I've often felt leveling the playing field letting everybody take what they want lol, at more cynical junctures.

So we are kind of left with hoping if something like that happens it can be proven and there's not really a good chance of that. And yeah it's a shame. I do think if you look at motivation, the actual benefit, it often doesn't make much sense for a fighter to risk it... So why would they take the risk?
