Floyd had problems with every fast south paw he fought before Manny. There is the sparring with Collazo that got everyone up in arms, getting dropped and pretty well dominated by Zab Judah for the 4 round Judah was ever able to fight, he got rocked by Mitchell the fight before.

The shoulder roll just is not a very good defense vs southpaws for an orthodox fighters, lots of holes, and Floyd avoided south paws when he could because he had a lot of problems, like Paul Williams.

There is a reason he waited until he did to fight Pacquio. Pac with legs and able to create lots of angles would have been a real nightmare of a night for Floyd.

Floyd might have been able to figure it out, but he wasn't going to do it in a JMM or Morales get busy in the trenches with him way.

It would have been a very very hard night. I think the outcome might be the same, but a much harder night for Floyd.
