I don't think anyone cares about women boxers. Nobody knows what goes on in that body of theirs. She could just say she took something to make her hair, nails and boobs grow .Comment

And Benn has still NOT put his case( the evidence he swears would clear him?) to the BBBOC as the odd idiot on here thinks he has , that is why the board who run a strict liability policy will not grant him a licence. You and a few other astute others are well aware of this , I know. As you rightly say Hearn could not give a fugg !Comment

Amazing ain’t it how these promoters shill for their own serial cheats (Benn, Whyte) then ferociously defend the integrity of the sport when their guy faces a cheaterComment

The media should pay equal if not more attention to robberies like the Barbosa case. Those are just as damaging to the sport especially to the victim of the unjust scoring. The perpetrators remain scot free and still able to do their crime again.Comment

In earlier days, fighters were outweighed by 15-20 lbs. easily. Sam Langford regularly was outweighed in the boxing ring. So was SRR, SRL and others. Floyd Mayweather and Pacquaio were outweighed in plenty of their fights. When Pacquaio fought Oscar De La Hoya, he was outweighed by a good 10 lbs. on fight night. I could go on and on. Boxing skills, ring movement, training hard, conditioning all play a factor in who wins these types of fights.
Of course weight classes make a difference. But a 3 lb. weight difference, come on now. Haney just got his ass beaten up that night. Garcia threw a wild left hand and caught flush on the jaw in the 1st round. The fact that Garcia and Haney fought each other several times makes more of a difference. They fought a total of 6 times in the amateurs. Garcia knew Haney's fighting style from the start.
I get what you’re saying, but literally everyone you’ve referenced is an ATG and as such, the size disparity was less of a factor. You’re basically comparing apples with oranges here.
Neither Haney or Garcia are ATGs and as you’ve pointed out, they fought each other 6 times with not much to split them. At their respective levels, it’s all about the fine margins and every pound counts.
The fact remains that Haney didn’t lose because he was less skilled than Garcia, he literally got outmuscled and beat down. And now we know why that was.Comment
