Blame them, not the fighter. A lot of fights don't happen and fighters even leave promoters because they aren't getting the fights they want. And how many times have fans said that fighter 1 will never fight fighter 2 and guess what, they fight? It happens all the time. They may still fight. Neither fighter's career is over, so lets not pretend it is not possible.
I didn't missed the point. While I agreed with youa bout the promoters choosing opponents, I also think that mbilli is been complacent on not fighting Morrell Jr., and he does have a a say who he fights, aftet all he's been calling othets fighters out. Have nothing to do with fear as we know. He should've been calling the champ, not the other way around and is only one reason for it, afraid of losing. Well, to be fair nobody at 168 wants to fight DMJ. The ones who fights is the one to blame, they're all adults and they can put their foot down and ask for the fight, he wouldn't be the first neither the last to do it.

I don't see MBilli as complacent, he either follows what the fighter/promoter contract stipulates, or he, and other fighters, will have to leave their current promoter. Arum just like all the other promoters most likely consider Morrell a high risk, low reward. I can easily envision all the top names fighting each other over time or having to leave their promoter(s) to get the fights they want.

Complacent. That's only part of the problem. Used to be in order to make money, boxers needed to fight the best by seeking the Champ, there's no high risk low reward bs, either you fight the best or keep making peanuts, the promoters were forced to get the best to face the best, and the "0" wasn't that relished like today, Morrell jr has called out everyone in his weight class, mbilli was his mandatory for over two years, he refused to face him and now is calling berlanga and canelo.

You need to correct something - MBilli did not refuse to face Morrell, those decisions are made by his team and with Arum and contracts involved, you know the rest. You speak of the past and while that is ideal, reality is that high risk, low reward is what promoters will look at and that won't change. They want to maximize their profits. When some of these top fighters grow in stature, and demand is higher outside of casual fans, then the fights can be made. Remember, Arum wins almost every time.

Why should I correct something when I know if the boxer wants to face someone, he would face his man, his team doesn't want DMJ neither mbilli. Simple, is like a kid hiding behind his mom. If he faces Morrell jr and beats him, his stock goes through the roof. That's why I like Cuban boxers, they don't give a dime who they fight, first fight 10 fights, doesn't matter to them, Mexicans boxers used to be like that too.

Using an expression like hiding behind his mom is childish. That's not how the business works. You don't know what MBilli personally wants, what his dreams are, who he wants to fight, you are not living in his house or are friends with his management. You don't even realize how many fighters want to fight the best fighters and their promotional team already have plans set up. MBilli just signed 8 weeks ago with Arum. If Arum doesn't get him the top fights over the next year, year and a half, then people can complain about Arum. Arum is about maximizing profits. Only the superstars get to pick the opponents.

People claim lots of things when there's a possibility of a Canelo retirement check in play, esé. Hell, if Canelo said he'd fight David in September, David would cut off his left leg to make 168.
