No, son. I just have common sense and understand that as people age, their bodies tend to naturally gain weight. If Benny has struggled to make 168 for the past 4 years and was only there hoping for the Canelo lottery ticket, anyone with seventeen brain cells knows he's never seeing 168 again. But if you choose to believe in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy, feel free.

Not the same thing as accusing a fighter of not wanting anything to do with another fighter like the original poster claimed. Big difference.

The article says…. “Alvarez has cleaned out the 168-pound division since he started his title reign in 2020.”

I’m sorry but that can’t even be said with a straight face. If there’s no Benavidez fight, there’s no “cleaning out a division”! Its that simple!

Truth. He's faced exactly none of the top contenders. When there's 20 undefeated guys ranked in the top 10 by Ring or one of the alphabet organizations, none of whom have been faced by the champion, that's not a very cleaned division.

You missed the point, someone accusing a fighter of wanting nothing to do with another fighter is childish opinion. The fact is, the promoter decides on the opponent, especially when Arum is the co-promoter. Promoters make these decisions, not the boxer. The responsibility falls on the decision-makers. Blame them, not the fighter. A lot of fights don't happen and fighters even leave promoters because they aren't getting the fights they want. And how many times have fans said that fighter 1 will never fight fighter 2 and guess what, they fight? It happens all the time. They may still fight. Neither fighter's career is over, so lets not pretend it is not possible.

Get over yourself. Mbilli has been the top ranked contender for Morrell's belt for years now. Yes, promoters make the final decision. But he's got a mouth of his own. He hasn't let Morrell's name cross his lips in an interview even one time. I'm not saying he's afraid, mind you. But he's mentioned Canelo, Benavidez, Plant, Munguía, and even Berlanga. Yet he has never mentioned wanting to fight Morrell even once, and he's been offered that fight before.

You're making a mountain out of a minor comment that has come from Morrell's team turning down the fight repeatedly and never so much as mentioning his name. There's solid evidence that Morrell is avoiding that fight. I never called him a coward, I never said the final decision was his. I said "apparently" he wants no part of Morrell. Because that's the appearance you give when you're top contender for someone's belt and you turn down the fight and never so much as mention the guy's name.

You're a hypocrite too. People mention fighters ducking other fighters all the time on here with far less basis in fact. You don't go after them. Yet here you are being all up in your feelings.

It was a single sentence with basis in fact. Mind your own business. Unless "richardt" stands for "Christian Mbilli?"

Oh look, the guy who said he was done with this conversation is back. You said "I'm not saying he's afraid, mind you". Now you are trying to twist things. Just because a fighter calls out different names, doesn't mean sht. There is no evidence that MBilli is avoiding the fight, those decisions are made by promoters - Arum and other promoters chose the opponent - it is in the contract! That is why countless fighters will say their promoters decide who their next opponent is. And again, you clearly don't know sht about who decides on the opponent when you said "Apparently MBilli wanted no part of Morrell". If you had said, Team MBilli wanted no part, then you would not have looked so ignorant. Blame the team, not the fighter specifically. Get it? Got it? GOOD! And I've been on these boards for 15 years and do mention when someone says a fighter is afraid of another fighter and then looks ****** when that fighter fights the guy fans said he was afraid of.
