Oscar always had that star quality. He brought Floyd Mayweather to financial success after Arum as well. It's just kind of ironic. Oscar always looks so wholesome, always a handsome guy, my wife would always poke in when he was fighting lol.
Turns out he wasn't so wholesome. But I do think that Oscar just had natural qualities. I don't know that he had to work so hard to promote his fighters.

His team? Would that include his promoter?Originally posted by pretty boy_
Boo-hoo, that's what his team and trainers are for. He wasn't going to beat TBE no way.
It's what your promoters for as well, believe it or not.
What relevance does it have whether or not he'd have won, it's the biggest fight of your life and still is to this day and your promoter is too busy sniffing his bonce off to be there for his #1 fighter.
Why would Canelo ever have any kind of positive feelings toward that?

I think he's a total clown to be honest. Thought it when he was fighting and it's definitely come through as a promoter.

One of the top fighters of his generation but a very strange individual.Comment

Canelo vs DLH @ catchweight of 158 would have been niceOriginally posted by pretty boy_Canelo took the kitchen utensil route Lmao...
Win win for Golden Boy here. Oscar's taking a note out of Ryan Garcia's book by selling the fight at all costs while getting under Canelo's skin in the process.

I understand that part, but **** happens. Oscar had some personal demons that he had to take care of leading up to that fight week. I’m sure Canelo would’ve wanted him to be there for the biggest fight of his career, but on the flip side, Canelo’s main priority was to take care business INSIDE the ring whether Oscar was ringside or not, and he came up short. Canelo is just salty about both of his losses and will throw anyone under the bus to make himself look good. Damn, I feel like crap defending Oscar like this, but Canelo is arguably a bigger diva than Oscar and Floyd ever was when they were at the top.Last edited by Carpe Diem; 05-01-2024, 05:37 PM.Comment
