Dingaan Thobela, "The Rose Of Soweto", died on April 29

The older among us will remember Thobela as one of the first WBO champions in 1990, prior to winning two major titles seven years apart, first the WBA lightweight against Tony “The Tiger” Lopez in 1993, then the WBC super middleweight (!) against Glenn Catley in 2000.

He left too soon at 57. May he rest in peace.
