Usyk's movement is elite. Fury's is 'good for a big man'.
Just keep moving. I don't think he'll have any issue creating angles and openings to land. The key is being patient and not getting caught in a position where Fury can maul him.

Still, there is an enormous size/weight/reach advantage for Fury. I am not sure Usyk can overcome that. If I had to bet, my money would be on Fury.Last edited by Dolor; 05-01-2024, 04:30 PM.

Manage the pace of the fight and the distance.
Usyk needs to either be at his mid range or totally on the outside, I would not advise fighting up close, Usyk is not a tough inside brawler, and if he's not at mid range he needs to be beyond Fury's long range.
In terms of manage the pace, avoid taking damage early and make fury miss, if he does this early on even if he's not won the round it's still a pretty good investment round.
If he can get fury tired and slow on his feet then holding mid range will be a lot easier and he can take the fight.
If he fights on the inside I expect he gets crushed, Usyk has never really shown anything to make me think he can batter a man of Fury's size in a phone booth and Fury is a proven inside fighter which nobody at heavyweight Usyk has ever fought has been, well except for Chisora for 2 rounds.

Getting in Fury is easy , just don’t react to the wasted movements he does and totally ignore them just like Ngannou did and just go straight in on him timing his jabs which Usyk is great at keeping an eye on a sneaky uppercut he may throw .Wallin also did this to some extent ,knew enough to mix body shots to upset Furys rhythm and mix up the punches ,he abandoned that when Fury got cut so you need to mix it up on him the entire fight .
The best chance for Usyk and his team is get a true fair referee that won’t let any holding and hitting take place . Both guys are not unbeatable ,one has a possible weakness to the body and the other can’t take a fast paced fight if it does Usyk will win fir sure bc Fury likes a certain pace in all his fights which gives a big advantage to Usyk bc he’s the best at revving up the tempo in the division.
Still a 50/50 fight bc no one knows what officials will do , what judges are gonna score the referee involvement, who’s prone to get cut and effect them , who may go out with body punches who will have the better corner advice etc etc……….I just see Fury having to do excessively holding and trying to grind e dry round close bc he will most likely get handed them ? I still think it’s going to produce a very ugly fight not real boxing skill for skill , Fury doesn’t have the proper abilities and power and Usyk is giving up size and has to do more to get a round in his favor we all know that .Haka likes this.

And even with AJ he was very patient, and didn't try to push for a KO (though he was close to getting a KD at the end of the first fight).
