Another big money grab for Canelo and Oscar. I'd like to see Canelo fighting Benavidez or Bivol-Beterbiev fight winner. I always had big expectations in terms of opposition from Canelo. Indeed Mung fights with his chin open, so I expect Canelo to stop him.

Don’t be surprised when Canelo gets drilled with tomatoes while yelling Viva Mexico as he does after the show..

We have seen the Bivol fight and it was completely one sided. Beterbiev would absolutely destroy canelo. The only fight anyone wants to see is Benavidez. It's already been proven that canelo can't hang in the 175. He cherry picked kovalev.

Canelo in this determined mood, with this opponent who gets hit easily, it's a likely ko.

He might shock people and call out Benavidez afterwards, even though David has a fight lined up with Gvozydyk.

But yeah, with respect, we don't want to see him fight the other Charlo brother now. A few years ago that was a very appealing fight, not anymore.

Canelo-Morrell, heck, that would be a pretty intriguing fight.

Everyone suggesting this will be a walkover for Canelo is basing that opinion of a Canelo from 3 years or more ago.

To quote the old adage ‘you are only as good as your last fight’.

Based on their last few fights Canelo is the one looking more likely to get stopped. He hasn’t shown the sort of form necessary to stop Munguia inside 8 for literally years whereas Munguia stopped a fighter that had gone 12 with Canelo.

He’s not hitting as hard, he’s not letting his punches go as freely, he’s more concerned about being hit, he’s more static, he’s more reliant on single shots and less reliant on combinations, he’s fighting someone bigger and younger.

Going out on a limb here but I think Munguia is going to win this one.

A younger GGG? He as 37 going on 38... The 2 of them went toe 2 toe in what was peak Derevyanchenko vs a declining GGG and it made for fight of the year 2019. The version Munguia fought was an older 37y year old Sergey who'd been involved in numerous wars.

Money Mayweather was more known for his defensive boxing skills than Pretty Boy Floyd who was a knockout guy. He didn't go around trying to convince people that he was some powerful puncher like Canelo always does... If that was the case he should be getting rid of these guys. Canelo aint had a KO since 2021 - that's 3 years and a long time for someone who supposedly is a "power puncher"

"Younger" GGG? You mean 38 year old who beat 33 year old Derevyanchenko? That GGG didn't get a gift. He knocked Sergiy down and won by 2 rounds. Munguia squeeked by 1 round against 37 year old Derev courtesy of a lucky body shot in the 12th round. He didn't stop anyone.

Munguia and Benavidez are fights stylistically that are straight up Alvarez's street 'I can definitively see this fight vs Munguia as potential preparation for the Benavidez fight'.

I have stated this before? Neither Munguia or Benavidez are stylistically the type of fighters who have historically challenged Canelo Alvarez to the greatest extent.

Munguia just like Benavidez is good enough in the area's of boxing, to make the fight very competitive against Alvarez 'But I don't think he is good enough in the crucial area's of boxing which have always challenged Alvarez'.

Canelo Alvarez stylistically has been challenged stylistically mostly by fighters who have, Elite level movement, Athleticism, Gears, and Defense.

Note: If a fighter does not have those attributes to a high level within their game, then historically they are going to find a on form Canelo Alvarez extremely difficult to beat.

Munguia has not shown thus-far in his career, that he has the same level of offense and defense on attack as Canelo Alvarez 'This is why I believe Canelo Alvarez in solid form should have the intention of beating down Munguia' etc.
