      Because they’re used to it.

How many real big tough fights has Crawford taken in his career? At 135 he made a good name for himself fighting solid opposition. But how many big fights has he had that had fans really intrigued?

      Postol, Porter, and Spence.

Canelo got the media used to him taking on all comers, taking on all the names that the fans and media said he was ducking. Trout, Lara, Jacobs, GGG 2x, hell fans were even saying he would never fight Kovalev at 175lbs when that fight was being negotiated. They also didn’t believe he was fighting Callum Smith at 168.

Canelo Alvarez should be a very strong reminder to other boxers who want to dare to be great, that you can’t please everybody. And if you try to please everyone, every time, they will wear you out and ask for more every time.

People are used to the disappointing opponent selection from Crawford. This is nothing new from him.

It’s something new for Canelo to take it easy. He learned the hard way that the critics and media just want to tear you down no matter what. He learned he will never please them but his resume speaks for itself.

Both guys are in an interesting position within the sport. Canelo has always been top draw for years now, so he obviously can dictate whatever tf he wants to do. Whether that aligns with what the fans and media want him to do or not is probably not always his concern. He's looking for top dollar at this point. He knows he's setting himself up for retirement and needs to make all these final years paychecks worth it.

I feel like with Crawford, he took forever to break out as he needed a quality dancing partner and got that finally with Errol Spence Jr. Although it was his coming out party, he's doesn't have that much time to capitalize on earnings as Canelo has and continues to. Crawford is as of the age where he could nearly turn old overnight against the wrong opponent. Crawford has to feel like he can call the shots at this point and wants a combination of obviously money and chasing more legacy, even if the dance partner isn't exactly what again, the fans and media want him to do.

The question is, can you blame either one of them? They got into the sport primarily to change their lives and future forever. Not because they want to get hurt and possibly permanently injured. There is a fine balance of giving what the fans want and trying to be in good fights while earning as much as possible.

Your love for ginger has blind you. "Crawford is moving up and fighting a guy with 10 fights and no wins against world class fighters. Canelo moved up to 175 and challenged the #1 or #2 fighter at" if you're not talking about kovalev here, then my bad, canelo fought two guys a 175, kovalev and bivol, no matter how you numbered, kovalev wasn't #1 neither #2, and was like I stated, a drunken past his prime just 7 or so weeks from a grueling fight and a full training camp. Like I said, your love for ginger is blinding you if you confuse truth with hate, and yes I'm Cuban, our boxers always go for the best in their division, we don't need 40 fights to face the hatton's of the world, we're doing it on our second or third fight. Unlike some Aztec warriors. By the way, your lover boy confused bivol with a pigeon, that's why he fought him.

Why don't you mfers ask if Crawford is done taking tough fights. Fear of getting canceled for critiquing the wrong folks???

Ridiculous biased agendas by the circus media.
Crawford been in tough for 11 years and unified Welterweight against undefeated Spence, and that's got you down?
Canelo been in tough for 14 years and has been a fixture on the P4P list for much of that time, and that's got you down?

You must be hard to be around.

Bud is moving up to fight a top ranked opponent with for a world title, kind of like Canelo did with Rocky Fielding except there’s no hydration clause, it’s a real championship belt, and Madrimov hasn’t already been KTFO.

Kovalev actually wants a rematch though. Canelo is terrified of Bivol.

hell, he’s terrified of everyone now
