Where did i add amateurs fights? if I did he'd be having over 110 bouts... I'm well aware when Canelo turned pro hence why i mentioned the length of his career and number of fights.
I don't disagree but people need to consistent with both their praise and negativity towards fighters.
It's absolutely reprehensible that the majority of what's spewed forth from one side of their mouth to be damn near criminal for one fighter but for another almost praise worthy it's beyond inconsistent.
And is completely incongruent with being an alleged fan of the sport and instead a fan of a man...Comment

I'm not any happier than anyone else that he's fighting poor opponents instead of his mandatories. But it's ABSOLUTELY the alphabet organizations fault for being so corrupt that they let him dictate, instead of ordering their mandatories and stripping him of their belts if he doesn't fight them. That's literally their entire raison d'etre.
If you're so blinded by your pathetic need to hate on someone that's actually accomplished something in their lives that you think that the alphabet organizations don't bear the entire blame for not ordering their mandatories, that's on you. Canelo's crappy choice of voluntary opponents appears to be on him, but the fact that the organizations LET him do that is on them. Period. That's their job, they're the ones issuing the belts and ignoring their own rules to enable him. If you can't see that, I have nothing more to say to you. Especially since you're one the biggest cowards on this site... Lace up and get in the ring yourself. Then call him a coward.
How can i be one of the biggest cowards on the site? How does that make any sense? Those who make claims they can't support can be called cowards. But i don't do that. I'm the main one on this site that has people deflecting all the time after i ask them to justify what they're saying. I then get to see them go through the entire catalogue of personality disorders.
When you see the conditions Canelo must have his opponents have before facing them, then yes, he's a fraud of the worst kind. That isn't a warrior or a true champion. That's a corrupt cheat who thinks he's entitled due to his own ego. It's degrading and humiliating. But Canelo has no shame. Neither do you.Comment

Cotto, Lara, plant, callum smith, Jacobs, GGG x2, Kovalev. Name me one active fighter with a better resumeComment

Cotto Catchweight
Lara, Catchweight, controversial decision
plant,
callum smith,
Jacobs, Hydration Clause
GGG x2, Controversial Decision X2
Kovalev Hydration Clause x2
So...two of those don't have asterisks. Comment

cotto catchweight was imposed by COTTO. He was the A side
Lara fight was at 155. They both were 154 pounders. Fighting at 155 is the norm for non title fights, which this was.
Jacob fight, hydradation clause was imposed by IBF, not canelo! Btw, Jacob missed the weight anyways.
try again.Comment

What are you talking he turned pro at 15 they aren't amatuer fights, check his record just because you can't turn pro in the UK doesn't mean that's the case everywhere.Comment

Lara - This one stands as a tough fight even though Canelo got the gift.
Plant is/was nothing more than a fringe level fighter. If this is what counts as a tough fight, you're going to be disappointed to find there are fighters with a much tougher resume than Canelo.
Callum Smith had 3 weeks training camp and coming off a bad performance against Ryder. Canelo ducked him until he had the conditions he looks for. Nothing tough when you get opponents coming in at their worst. Sorry.
Jacobs was drained by contract. Again, i don't accept cheating an opponent and making them their weakest before facing them.
Golovkin was aged out for years but he still won the first two fights. I'll accept they were still tough fights.
Kovalev was shot, drained, given a rehydration clause to keep him weak, and only had a couple of weeks rest between fights after the gruelling fight with Yarde. That wasn't tough in any way.
Therefore, the only tough fights he took are the ones he lost in Golovkin and Lara. You could add Floyd and Bivol to the list, but he lost both those as well. Bivol wasn't taken though as a tough fight. He was taken because Canelo thought he wasn't a tough fight. A pathetic resume to any honest boxing fan. It's all smoke and mirrors.
Name one fighter with a better resume? I'll name a few. Inoue, Usyk, Chocolatito. They actually beat their opposition and didn't cripple them or wait until they were crippled like Canelo does every time out before facing them.Comment

Callum does have an asterisk next to it. Canelo only gave him 3 weeks training camp and ducked him until he saw the Ryder performance. Before that, Canelo said he wanted nothing to do with him.Comment

I didn't say they were amateur fights. I said you'd have to include every fight from the age of 15 for all fighters to go with their pro resume if you're including Canelo's fights during this time period.Comment
