It would be good and well if he vacated his status as undisputed 168lb champion then he can do all of the showcase fights he wants for paydays against overmatched opponents, no problem. As champion, he has an obligated to take on the very best in the world in the division.

Bivol, and that was an accident

Maybe the close fight with Jacobs? (Hydration clause) or the two fights with Golovkin.

Canelo probably is coming to the end soon.

If Benevidez can beat the Bivol vs Beterviev winner in a fight Turki is offering him then he'll have proven hs point vs Canelo without fighting him but lets be honest he could easily have got that fight if he'd been prepared to fight off PBC Island, he needed to be able to B side himself and not listen to his management.

This is the problem when we criticize canelo. Munguía is a very tough fight, but fans will undermine it because it’s not against Benavidez.

regarding big fights like Benavidez, the $150-200m number seems very specific. That leads me to believe someone is in canelo ears (probably Hearn) advising him this is very possible and saudis are open to doing it. I’m hoping this is true and he’s holding out until he receives such offer from them.

Mungia is not a very tough fight. Canelo will knock him out and make it look easy. That said, all this canelo hate stems from him not fighting benevidez in his next fight. It’s a little much. Mungia is a fun fight but just think about this. Benevidez bout to fight at LHW and if successful maybe get a title there(I don’t think that’ll happen) but that just tells you the size difference in the two lol.
