I understand that styles make fights, but I also believe that Tank is levels above both of them. Tank gets Haney hurt, and he will hurt Haney at some point, he will absolutely finish him!! In my opinion, I still feel Loma beat Haney.

tank drained barrios. no credit for that just like no credit for tank against garcia. tank has to stop that crap but he wont. his fans obviously dont care even after railing against catchweights, rehydration clauses, peds, etc..they look the other way when a guy they like does it. no credibility. ugas was old, inactive, and coming off a ko loss and thurman easily beat barrios. this is such a reach to now pretend tank is fighting legit fighters because he beat barrios who was a clear as day cherry pick over a guy who was coming off gift decision himself over akhmedov and then to drain him?

Even a broken clock is right twice a day... Kudos. I think Tank is talented, perhaps more so, not necessarily... which does not change the fact he is a protected fighter.

I disagree ring IQ isn't in play. I thought it was a much more interesting fight when I had a higher opinion of Devin's IQ pre-Ryan & him not having answers for the left hook. Tank took away Ryan's left hook. Devin couldn't. Thats big to me talking about ring IQ.

I'm not saying size isn't in play or that it wouldn't be competitive tbf, size often plays a role & hell Devin was competitive despite getting dropped 3x by Ryan imo, but I don't think size is THAT big of a determining factor.

The fighting on the outside thing could play a part, but Devin is usually the faster guy in the ring & can do guys like he did Regis. I don't think he was the faster guy vs Ryan & I don't think he'd be faster vs Tank either. Altho Tank is probably less dynamic with his speed than Ryan.

And again I'm not making Tank beating Devin my lock pick of the year or anything. I'm just saying I'd favor Tank to win & I'd be surprised if that wasn't the consensus among reasonable fans (no Tank or Devin fanboy opinions) if the fight did get made.

That said, I would favor Tank because you're right, he has very fast hands and he lulls guys into a false state of confidence. I think Devin's loss will teach him not be over confident and never believe the BS his father is selling. I'll put it this way, if Devin is smart enough to realize he's John Ruiz and not Mike Tyson, and I think he is, and they fought at 140+, no hydration clause, the fight would have a very good chance at being a safety first 50/50 stinker .

Maybe I'm wrong but I think Devin will be better for the loss. Devin's biggest problem in the future is that he can't continue to shrink down and aren't a lot of easy guys at 140 - 147.

Lol at the Ruiz/Tyson thing. Hell I think Devin woulda won if he'd done that Saturday. He won most of the rds he didn't get dropped in iirc. He just got dropped in so many rds it didn't matter. Devin was winning the fight on the cards as late as the 9th rd. But I do think this fight brings up big questions about Devin that I don't have about Tank & for that reason I'd side with Tank in the unlikely event this fight gets made.

The Devin will be better debate is far too speculative for me rn. First L's have made or broken alot of guys. The beating Devin took could alter his trajectory based upon losing confidence & losing that unbeatable mindset undefeated high level guys often have. Its hard to say how this could help or hurt Devin moving forward & I've seen guys get better & guys plunge into obscurity after first L's. I'll be anxious to watch Devin's next fight for this reason. All that said I hope he takes a healthy vacation of 9-12mos & if he comes back early I hope its against a softer touch.

Haney wins vs tank. Styles make fights. Garcia and Haney knows each other to the point they're complacent fighting each other like pacman vs Marquez. Tank is not a volume puncher if Haney fights behind his jab instead of trying to be a bull like he did vs Garcia he should win. I still want to see LOMA vs TANK but we know tank is doing a Mayweather waiting for him to slow down a step or 2 before he makes the fight Shakur damn sure beats tank way to slick yet boring as hell like a non Morrell jr cuban. I mean if Devin couldn't recoup from that first shot from Ryan I don't see him suddenly being able to do it vs Tank. Tank's ring IQ is waaaaay higher than Ryan's too so if Tank hurts Devin, Devin is KOd soon after more than likely.

Its boxing so anything is possible, like Ryan beating a -800 betting favorite last wk, but I think the clear & easy to make pick would be Tank beats if not stops Devin if they fought.

Haney may have to retire. His myth as a P4P great was exposed as being totally false. He will never make the type of $ he was getting recently now that it is clear that he is not the second coming of Mayweather nor the best fighter in the world as his dad likes to say.
