Just imagine if Garcia could put it all together. I mean u could make a case he beat Haney fighting at 70% of his capability despite a lot of lapses in that fight. The boy is blessed especially with speed and power. Devins lack of power did him in tonight. Kudos to Ryan

No. He did not. Haney seems he's squeezing 147 frame into 140. His punch resistance is not good at the weight. He lost at the weigh-in. I told my peeps who are casuals that his chin will not hold up.

That was not an ass whipping. Those three knockdown were all Garcia had. He didn't do nothing special. I believe Haney was dehydrated at the weight.

Another Amir Khan?

I'd say Khan maximised his potential. He wasn't unprofessional, he lived the life and did as best as his talent allowed him to. He was a quick handed but vulnerable fighter, not the greatest ring IQ, hence poor foot positioning at times leaving himself exposed.

I think Khan did about as well as he was ever gonna do. Beat some good names, lost to some good names. Won a title.

I don't see any similarity between the two outside of the ring.

So much for Bill Haney saying that they were sending a man to be killed and that they wanted Garcia near death after the fight. "If he dies, he dies", Haney's camp quote.

Anytime Garcia cranked it up he had Haney on the floor. Rematch will be worse for Haney and should not get one because how disrespectful they were and they would not greet Garcia at the end of the fight.

Besides the ref giving too much time for Haney to recover,
the 112-112 was a ridiculous score.

I’d be more su****ious if the ref than that judge. Dazn scored the fight even and while I don’t agree with an even score, it was clear Haney won most the rounds and got the point for the hit during clinch. That point and the extra time the ref gave Haney looked more biased than any scorecards.

this fight reminded my gvodyzk vs beterbiev. gyvodyk had apparently been big brothered in the amateurs by beterbiev and was the fav and considered to school beterbiev. he was winning the fight but it looked like beterbiev just had some sort of unexplainable edge and gyzodyk fell apart
