Morrell jr never asked for canelo, he knew and he stated that, canelo would never fight him, that's why he went after benavidez, but as we all know benavidez didn't want the fight.

No real boxing fan would ever accept their champion just coast into retirement fighting boxers who have zero chance at winning.
They're not boxing fans, they're fanboys that will go away when ginger retires, or they find another redheaded boxer.

I watched an interview with DMJ about what berlanga said, he was laughing at him, he said that he went to see his fight at Orlando and the place was empty, and Orlando is full of Portoricans. How this organizations manipulate the rankings is ridiculous. Be safe brother.

Fight has apparently been moved to the August LA card. A shame the WBA are bringing back their interim/regular belt for it. We're finally getting undisputed at the 175 and straight away WBC+WBA create interim belts for Benavidez and Morrell, who haven't even fought at the weight to be due a shot there.

It's shameful that Canelo won't fight Benavidez and Morrell and that the corrupt sanctioning bodies have helped him. But if they can't get the big title shot, they should be facing each other or the best available at 168 instead of both fighting for meaningless belts in a different division.

Why would you waste that fight on a non-title chief support bout? You set them both up to challenge for the 175 belts, unless the winner decides to move up and take on the winner of Opetaia v Briedis. In that case, if they both win their next bouts, they get elevated to champion and then you can market the fight as a unification fight between two champions. Good fight promotion creates options for future fights.

Blame the alphabet soups, they're protecting canelo and their big fat cut out of ginger's purse. The WBA just served berlanga on a platter for the next "#1 mandatory", and now he's talking crap about Morrell jr that he doesn't sell, when in fact he has sold out the twin city armory auditorium every time he has fought there, and the funny thing is that Morrell jr was in attendance at his last fight in Orlando, and I quoted, "the place was empty even though Orlando is full of Puerto Ricans".
