Merhy fought Yoka and Lerena in his last two fights, so he's not a complete unknown. Judging by all of the venomous comments towards the fight, I was fortunate to have fallen asleep before it started lol

TR can sense that Anderson isn't ready for bigger responsibilities, so they are being careful with the matchmaking. IDK if TR can trust him as one of their future pillars.

So I had ufc n espn boxing on my tvs. Boxing let me down again. Why have showcase fights when there are so many great 50-50 fights possible? Just unnecessary and does not help grow fan base. Such a waste of the espn nationwide platform. I can’t believe I’m here complaining or had expected more when it is business as usual

Rudenko was a worse opponent. The main issue is the 8-months of inactivity between Rudenko and Merhy. He ran through Rudenko, and shouldn't have taken so long to get back in the ring. He lost any positive momentum from his Martin victory. They need to get Anderson out again soon.

TR must be pulling their collective hair out due to how some of their stars are performing: Teofimo has gained a reputation of being a hot-and-cold fighter, Stevenson/De Los Santos was horrible, and Anderson isn't developing quickly enough and is showing signs of instability. All promoters run into this issue, but TR isn't putting on enough shows to quickly erase the negativity. TR has a big stable, so they'll probably be fine. But not if ESPN starts getting fed up with some of these performances and match-ups.

If you get Anderson uninteresting opponents, then it's likely to turn into an uninteresting fight. I don't put all the blame on Anderson here as Ryad was woeful. But he should have done more.

Get someone interesting next time. Don't talk about it. Do it.

For once, Tim Bradley said something I totally agreed with; it was the text from his gym buddy (so, not really Tim Bradley, but why split hairs?) pleading for Jared to use an uppercut after Merhy fell for every single one of his feints. Why didn’t he? Because he’s a limited fighter just waiting to be KO’d by someone good.

The less said about Merhy, the better. Lame duck ass fighter.

One of the worst fights I’ve seen in a while. I may even owe Shakur and De Los Santos an apology.

Anderson is now a joke and can't stop a man who was a punching bag, and seems to have problems away from the ring. Tomorrow's court case will be 2nd in six months, if he gets jail time well that will be the beginning of the end.

this is what passes as a night of Heavyweights nothing but hype and then the announcers try to act like it was Merc's fault if Andy was anything he should have cut off the ring then cut Merc down to size and knocked his head off and showed himself as somebody in the ring. Pork Chop stole the night for me, underdog as far as the annoucne crew was concerned was thought to be a set up fight and bam bam and bam bam. I watched then left the screen caught the first HW bout was falling asleep during that one then the second just had to turn it off worst then i thought it could be.....Yea they left Walker get his head ****** in real good after that fight TR will never have the fighter they thought they picked up. He took a beating but fought on surprise surprise surprise Arum thought your boy had a nice first match under your thumb.......Hope the kid recovers in the hospital first then back to the ring Guerrero gets another two fights for that performence. But that is what i enjoyed last night inside the ring.
