the only reason it would make sense for Inoue to fight in the states would be if there was another big american star.
brandon figueroa is the biggest name up there, but still not a star. until that happens he doesnt need to go anywhere.

Just a typical ignorant, and arrogant, comment. How can Inoue break the bank fighting in the US when he makes a lot more money in Japan? Do some research before coming out with nonsense like this.

The location doesn't matter. It's the quality of the opposition that does. Ali/Foreman, Foreman/Frazier, Ali/Frazier 3 and the likes would be considered not worth their time if that was the case.

Also rich coming from Porter and those from his country who travel the least out of anyone. Yet they're the ones who keep on talking about the need to travel. Not forgetting all the mass corruption that goes on in the US. Why would anyone want to take a pay cut to be ripped off?

          Insane.

This pov is understandable. The average american weight is higher than the average asian weight. One of the few reasons why the lower weights tends to be only popular in Asia. Outside of asia, nobody gives a shi.t

If you're built like a bear, you dont really see yourself in someone built like a macaque. Bears wouldn't really be interested in macaque fighting.

Plus, the lower weight you go, the lesser the knockouts. They don't really have any power down there except for a few. And those few that do, dont really fight that frequent to retain and sustain viewership at those lower weights.

Lightweight is the bare minimum weight the casuals in u.s. are willing to watch. Any weight under, has an obscure amount of viewership and fanbase.

I mentioned Inoue among my colleagues amd nobody really knows him and that will probably remain true even after he retires.

In terms of fame, he's about Hamed level where he's really popular in his island country and hardcore boxing fans overseas know him. But to casuals, nobody knows him.
Naseem Hamed was an a genuine international ster. What are you talking about? Inoue doesn't have that pull. But he doesn't need to go to the US to prove his greatness. It's the opponents he beats that will.

Also, Inoue gets paid quite a bit more than Loma did. In fact, Inoue's opponents make about what Loma did.

Inoue needs to fight Casimero outside of Japan to get my respect

Not really. America doesn’t have high demands for the smaller guys while Japan has a huge market for the lighter weight divisions. That’s why countless fighters from Latin countries and other areas move to Japan to under their promotions.

Inoue doesn’t need USA. He is already a superstar there who has made sht ton of money. Had he started his career in the states, that wouldn’t have happened.

Inoue is a big fish in a small pond. He has a captive audience on a rock in the sea. He might want to remind the outer world of his abilities.

He is just a japanese fighter playing it safe in his home with home crowd advantage. He is not big worldwide. Not many people know him in america, that's why he stays in japan.
