they can expose him all they want, the average american sports fan isnt going to be interested in watching someone built like a child fight someone theyve never heard of

Theres still a subset of Americans who think it's the 1990s it seems.

No he does not need to go to America at all, I would like to see him fight in the Mecca of boxing Saudi Arabia though, that'd be awesome.

American boxing is in such a fractured, rudderless state that there isn't much appeal to go there any more.

Maybe get HBO back in to boxing and it'll improve because ESPN plus and whatever platform PBC is on nowadays SUCK

Im getting a real strong scent of hate masked as criticism. The Fulton KO has people uncomfortable with his achievements. He’s doing something right
The truth is they want to get him over there and Rob him, we all know it's, it's par for the course for USA boxing any time there's a foreign guy doing well, "we can't have that" bring him over, rob him "see he's not unbeatable, all the American greats from the 70s would have beat him we know that now"

So thankful for his excellency putting an end to it.

I wished he did fight in north America so I can watch a fight live. 3am fight times aren't something I'm going to watch.

Its a global digital world now so no, its not like in the 90s or very early 00s where I had no idea about fighters from other countries if HBO, ESPN, or Showtime didn't push them.

He's proved and continues to prove he is the best and he doesn't need to fight in America to prove that.

Going to America would be about chasing fame. I'm not sure he's that interested in that.

Among many things this writer fails to mention is WHO can Inoue fight in the US that will get him this hypothetical payday or exposure the writer claims he can get in USA? The best American fighter in that weight class was Fulton but does this idiot think fighting Fulton in a 5000 capacity venue in Vegas would've gotten him more money and exposure than a sold out 15000 capacity in Tokyo, and Fulton somehow decided to take a pay cut to travel to Japan as the champion?

Granted I personally would've been fine with Nery fight being in some crummy venue in USA no one gives an eff about because the cheater doesn't deserve a payday, but that is a different story.

The reason he fights in Japan is because that's where the money is. The US doesn't care about lower weight fighters. His opponents understand it. They get paid better in Japan.

No he doesn’t need to travel To the other side of the world to take a massive paycut to become known by casuals
