    Note that Teo isn’t calling out Ennis at 147, neither is Haney, nor Matias nor anybody. Reckon they’ll all skulk as 140 for as long as Ennis is sat at 147 waiting for them.

    Seems doubtful that Crawford will comeback to 147, but wouldn’t be at all surprised if Hearn had the following conversation with the Saudi;

    “if I can sign Ennis will you put up Crawford’s ask for $10 million for the fight” to which I’d expect they’d say yes. Don’t be surprised if another fight for all the belts at 147 happens in Saudi. Then it won’t matter if PBC or anyone else have all the fighters in the division. They won’t have any of the belts.

      Want to see more of him but the competition is not strong at 147 anymore and he is high risk low reward.

        Sh^t at this point the biggest 147 fight might be Boots vs Haney assuming Haney beats Ryan next wk & moves up as he suggested he may lol. That says a ton about where 147 is at with the last few yrs of retirements & moves up to 154 among the name guys.

        So yea 147 is uncharacteristically bleak looking rn which sucks for Boots who I believe beats everyone best case or can hang with anyone worse case.

          147 isn't barren. It just isn't an active division since Spence left it.

          Spence is what made that division active. He picked all the guys in the top and made the division rotate. Since guys had to stay active cause Spence was on their ass.

          Now that Spence is gone. None of these guys are on rotation. Crawford abandoned the division with the belts. Leaving Ennis without a chance to see his name in the big lights and/or pick up some mainstream notoriety.

          Also given that Ennis is following the same path Crawford did. He's not trying to gladiator his way to the top. He just wants to be an opportunist and grab it all in one go.

          He could go knock off Giovani Santillan, Barrios, Stannionis to make noise for the orgs to mandate Crawford across the board but "promoters" would be the reasoning by NSB heads for why he can't

              Boots only has himself to blame, he will stay and weight bully at 147, and keep ducking smoke for the rest of his career

                We should be seeing more of him with Eddie. I'd be shocked if hes not on the standard fight every 8mos schedule most top ten guys are on worst case & probably more likely we see him 2-3x a yr while hes with Eddie.

                I'd like to see him fight someone notable at 147 before he goes up ideally. Barrios, Stanionis, Haney or Teo are probably the only notable fights out there & if I'm Haney or Teo I probably wait out Boots & move up after hes gone & maybe end up being #1 there with whats left.

                  I think maybe he should unify at 147 in one or two more fights and then go to 154.. everyone wanted to be undisputed nowadays which is fine but if he wants big fights with big money then he can't stick around at 147 unless Haney or teofimo move up to 147 in the near future.

                    Eddie puts a lot of shows so hopefully he gets something going for him. His prime is wasting away.
