im just saying, we've all seen this played out way too many times in boxing... "so and so is afraid to fight this guy".... then when the fight happens and "so and so" ends up winning, then it's the same ol'excuses..

when the fight happens being the key phrase. waiting for a guy to fall off and then fighting him is the whole criticism of guys like floyd/canelo. benavidez is good now. in 5 years he probably wont be or he wont be as good. guys like floyd and canelo artificially extended their careers with hand picked fights and avoidance of the dangerous guys of the moment. guys like hoya had shorter careers because they fought the best no matter what. its just so obvious what is happening and it cant be respected. i would much rather someone have a great short career than a meandering long career.
