Imagine if Oscar hadn't paid for the two Canelo cards. GGG would have gotten his rightful due and accolades, and we wouldn't have had to hear for years how Canelo is some bogeyman.

Hope Golovkin enjoys retirement. He more than earned it. Was the most entertaining fighter in the sport when he was in his prime.

You seem dumb. Floyd is 2 weight classes lower, plus ggg was the one calling floyd out instead of concentrating on his own career when floyd was already retired. Then you got some dumb journalists stirring up the pot with ****** stories about a potential fight that is unrealistic and painted a picture that floyd is scared. You expect floyd to be quiet about it and don't respond to bs?

Its also unfortunate that probably all of his biggest fights arrived once he was 35 plus years of age during the onset of athletic decline, yet he still arguably managed to win them all apart from the trilogy fight with Canelo where Canelo forced him to debut at 168lbs at 41 years old...
Is this some kind of joke? GGG an all time great MW? How so? Who he beat for this to be even remotely true? He’s a one weight world champ with ZERO count it ZERO elite wins. And only one elite opponent faced his whole career. Foh with that one greatest mws of all time nonsense lmao. We’ll never know how good he was cause he never took a chance. Even drunk Pavlik moved up to fight hopkins when MW was barren but GGG wouldn’t fight ward or kovalev at their weights he was just a footnote in boxing history nothing more.

I'm disappointed he did not make an official announcement Mikey Garcia retired quietly the same way. Why are these guys trying to weasel out of an announcement

Nope - peak was around 2010-2014 - Curtis Stevens and Macklin victories in that time (check out the look on Steen's face after the first KD - when he was 28-32 years old - he spent too long as an amateur
