Robert Garcia said that because Madrimov won the vacant belt, the rules say he has to do a mandatory next, which would be Vergil. Doesn't guarantee the fight happens but would be a bad look for Ortiz to turn it down, especially if his trainer wants it.

Matchroom has sacrificed its stable to maintain a positive relationship with GBP and because it's for the greater good (Munguia/Ryder, Zepeda/Hughes, Barboza/McComb), but how many instances have GBP shown the same courtesy? You always hear promoters say something like, "I'm willing to work with all promoters and networks, but it has to make sense"...what that usually means is that my fighter has to be the favorite/A-side and I'm the lead promoter.

Andy has been too greedy for non-Riyadh money lmfao. So yea I don't expect to see him there unless there is some epic fight thats worth it for them to pay him as much as he likely wants.

I think Canelo or Tank could turn things around by toning down the greed, but I doubt Canelo will see $150M for David & I'm legit not sure if $150M would be eenough to fight David or he might show up for David like Mell "showed up" for him.
Randomly I also predicted Rey Vargas won't be back on any Saudi cards cuz of his post fight interview comments where he said hes be back for some ungodly sum of money. I suspect these ppl with money aren't big fans of you only being about the money & bathing in the greed of it all.
Mfers should be happy with these great sums of money already being offered like most of these guys down to fight whoever getting on these cards now are.

And yea I'd prefer to see David get his big opportunity vs Canelo, but since that seems unlikely getting it at 175 for all the belts isn't a bad 2nd best option. And he can always go back down & there are still a ton of quality young guys at 168 who could move up to 175 to give him other big fights there eventually if he doesn't go back down.Bronx2245 likes this.
