Kamaru Usman got a 180 day medical suspension for a possible broken nose in 2020. The AIBA medical handbook specifies a minimum 3 month suspension for a nasal fracture. If it's a particularly bad fracture, 5 month is absolutely normal.

Fundora was a step up from what was left of a once awesome fighter and opponent in Keith Thurman. Hats off to Tszyu for rolling with changes. That was a great fight between two super classy boxers. Congratulations to Fundora. Things turned quickly for him. Tim Tszyu will be back.

I'm going to assume this means that Fundora has a legitimately broken nose. Wardley got lucky over the weekend as his bleeding was due to a cut on the bridge of his nose.

exactly - normally the commissions will let the fighter's team decide when the boxer is ready to resume training and sparring and then before his next fight the NSAC will do their pre-fight medicals

Corrupt. Clearly a PBC influenced move to deter Tszyu from enforcing his rematch clause. Idiotic.

Easy solution, don’t fight in vegas. The nevada commission have f all to do with things. I hope Tszyu forces rematch and does it in a stadium in Australia.

Aside from getting battered in his last fight wtf has Spence done to deserve a title shot at 154. Fundora, Tszyu and crawford would all stop him at 154. He’s done. Reactions gone, punch resistance gone and no discipline between fights. Spence had gone same way as Hatton and it’s obvious to anyone that’s watched the sport for any length of time. Familiar pattern.

Fundora will be made WBO champion-in-recess. Crawford and Tszyu will be ordered to fight for the vacant belt and Fundora will have the right to fight Crawford next after he crushes Tim. This isn't complicated. It just throws a monkey wrench into Al's plan to slide Spence into the mix.

It's a medical decision that's not in the hands of the sanctioning body or fighter's team. It's done to protect the fighter from himself.

I agree that Spence is shot, but as long as he has commercial appeal to his profoundly dumb fans, Al will keep trotting him out there.
