Chavez actually escaped with a win in his rematch vs Randall by bailing after a cut. Mikey Garcia did the same thing in his match with Salido right as Saludo was starting to come on. Not too many criticized them for it. Probably would’ve been the better move but only time will tell. Maybe there is a new level of demand for Tyszu due to his courage or maybe he’ll be avoided because now he doesn’t bring a title to the table and people will say, why fight him. He couldn’t even beat Fundora.

Makes you wonder: would prime Shawn Porter have had the same thing happen? The master of head-first fighting? Or would he have bulldozed Fundora straight over?

Absolutely... Tim Tszyu's corner should have withdrawn from the fight but they were counting on the blind guy covering up their recklessness. There was no concern for Tim, it was a reckless gamble. Frankly, if a fighter was ever going to switch corner-men, now would certainly be justified. As for Tim's future...Charlo avoided Tim and now, because of the corners recklessness, nobody else will fight him until they see he's beatable because counting on a cut isn't a strategy. As for Spence....I agree it could be a good fight IF Errol has anything left because Fundora is certainly beatable.

Spence vs Fundora is attractive because Errol has a chance to beat Fundora and a much, much lessor chance at beating the all around better fighter in Terrance Crawford. Fundora vs Spence is a #2 vs a "maybe still" #2 but best in class it's not, and belts or not it never will be.

PBC wants an in-house fight to maximize its money, and Team Fundora is going to do whatever Al Haymon directs them to do (because they got him his shot over higher ranked Bohachuk), but that doesn't mean fans really care to see that fight. Errol Spence desperately needs to redeem himself against Crawford, but he seems content to rebuild his brand (now as the Big Dog) taking the easy route.

Here's what's going to happen.

• Fundora v Spence for the WBC belt by the end of the year. Fundora wins by surprise UD over a fully cooked former big fish.
• Crawford v Tszyu for the WBO belt by the end of the year. Crawford wins by compettive UD, then calls for a unification fight with Fundora.
• NLT Summer 2025, Bud Crawford's career ends on a shocking decision loss to a prime and polished Sebastian Fundora who has finally mastered fighting from range and figured out his yoga flame and teleportation moves.

I agree with you 100%. The doctor even knew after checking the cut after the 2nd round that it should be stopped but Amazon 1st card they had a lot riding. Also agree with your assessment about EJ. Dude was my favourite fighter when he took out Brook in England. Haven’t seen that guy since. Errol fell way off. He don’t even talk right no more. He should retire fundora will destroy him

The brook fight was a great fight. I literally watched that back about a month ago. Errol had that dog in him. I truly wish him nothing but good health and happiness. But like Algieri, Paulie and Bradley have all said, this is about ethics.

Tszyu saved that show and opened the prime era in sensational style. The card was a good card. I loved seeing Pitbull silence all his doubters. He demolished Rolly. I really wanna see that tank rematch at 140.

I just feel like there’s something stopping tank from committing to 140. As much as I love to watch Gervonta, he seems to want to drain any 140 pounder and make negotiations so difficult. But Cruz is pretty much same dimensions physically to tank. And I wanna see if tank can put a real dent into Cruz with two hands instead of one.

Algieri is right. I said the same thing. Why didn't the fight go to the scorecards? I get it. Perhaps, based on the first two rounds Tszyu's corner probably thought he would win.

Now that he lost, Tszyu really doesn't have much bargaining power. Fundora is not going to give him an immediate rematch. Fundora is going to chase big money fights with either Crawford or Spence. He might be able to face one of the two, if one signs to fight Fundora. Perhaps since both of their last fights are losses, Tszyu can step in the ring with Charlo.

Tszyu's situation would be way different, if his corner asked to go to the scorecards. Take the out, live to see a better day, another day.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Imagine that Tim would have knock the guy out in the 7th or 8th round, you would be singing another tune. And that's what happened, the corner thought he would route him anyway because the cut was on top of the head, he wasn't going to get hit there like in Fundora's case, right on the nose but they didn't count with Sebastian heart drinking his own blood and not been able to breathe right.

Because Fundora is not the A side like they said nowadays. Everyone that bought the fight were rooting for Tim, nothing wrong with that, and now all of them would have wanted for the fight to be stopped instead of witnessing a wonderful fight between two real warriors, both handicapped, believe me that if the shoe were on the other foot they wouldn't be talking so much crap or if Tim had pulled it out they would be praising how great he was, when in fact he showed his mettle just like Fundora. They need to watch some fights from a little while back and see how those fighters dealt with pain, just like these two did.

Tszyu’s corner was amateur hour at its worse. . The cutman in his corner was a joke. Tszyu never made it out of his corner without blood dripping from his face. His trainer, should have stopped the fight before the 4th round was official. Tszyu’s trainer and cutman should be fired without giving it a second thought.
