The corner can't stop the fight, they can tell the ref but if the doctor and the ref see the guy fit to continue, it could be a tko.
Wrong! That is absolutely untrue. Not if the injury was caused by a foul.
It's the referee's discretion to determine whether or not a cut was caused by a punch or from an accidental clash of heads or a headbutt.
I am certain that,Harvey Dock made Team Tszyu aware of the situation that the cut was not caused by a punch but by an accidental elbow..Comment

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. They thought they would steamroller the burger eating bamboo tree, he wasn't a professional boxer.Since the cut came from accidental elbow to the head while compromising his vision in the process; i wonder why did Team Tszyu decided not to stop the fight after three rounds had been completed? Had they done that then Tim would have still retained his titles. His corner failed him big time tonight.Comment

Doctor looked like he wanted to stop the fight right after the cut. But then he asked Tszyu if he wanted to continue. Of course the fighter said yes; doctor shouldve done his job without looking for approval. Othetwise, what's the doc even there for?
After that, the cutman screwed up for the next 9 rounds. I hope there's a headline about him being fired, just so I can know it happened. I dont take pleasure in somebodys misfortune, but if you cant do the job, and in this case cost the man his straps, you need to be cut off.Comment

Yet, he kept coming and won the fight. Nobody asked the aussie to coming head first targeting the abdomen.Comment

I disagree. Watching Tim was seeing three of four punches end with no contact except his forearm coming down on Fundora's trap muscle; in other words, missing.
The doctor never felt that Tim couldn't see to the extent that he couldn't defend himself, which I agree with. That's why the fight wasn't stopped. Tim was defending himself throughout all 12 rds. I would ask people to watch the fight again and pay attention to Tim parrying and slipping Fundoras jab. Some got through but it wasn't enough to suggest Tim couldn't see them
If Tim couldn't see, the fight would've looked way different and Tim probably would've been stopped
He didn't target body enough, but that's aseparate point. I personally don't think his aim has been that bad in other fights. Likewise, just as a matter of common sense, blood streaming from your head, and in your eyes, for 30 minutes, is going to screw up your vision.Comment
