Afterall, B-Hop has a ton more "street cred" than that studio gangsta you like to wank to. B-Hop served like 10 years in the pen!

He's got the gift of gab, he is that black man that the white guy fears running into in a dark alley.

And plus, the way they're marketing boxing PPV's these days are somewhat different than before due to the recent rise of the UFC.

Times have changed man, hopefully the boxing gods keep it up. I'd love to see a Super Six in every division, every year!!
Do you seriously think that? I'll let you in on a little secret.....most "white guys" don't give a **** what color the ******* in the ally is.

    P.S.
I'm one of the white guys that you'd fear running into in a dark ally.

Now, you have novices calling every left hook a "check hook".
Nobody EVER called Zab a "front runner: until Floyd did, and the reality is that Zab's rep was the opposite.
People are now viewing 1 million PPV sales as "good" or "solid"

Pain, 800K plus IS "great numbers" .In the history of the sport , the entire history of PPV boxiing, guess how many non-heavyweight, non-Oscar/Floyd events have done 1 million buys? Answer: zero.

      Not even Oscar/Shane, Oscar/Hopkins, Oscar/vargas, Oscar/Chavez did 1 million buys.

I;m not saying that you are wrong. "Firepower" may do 1.3 million, and i would be very surprised, and very disappointed in Nostradamus. But the prognostication of 838K is a terrifically high number.

*Pain, not saying that YOU hate Floyd. But many posters are predicting 1.5 million plus bc they can't bear to accept that Floyd just sold a ton of PPV's.
You and I have debated on PPV numbers in the past, you know I have no loyalties. I just say my piece and talk with facts, I have no financial investment in this fight. That's just the number I think it will do, I was predicting the Floyd fight to do great numbers when everyone was saying he wasn't a draw and he would bomb on PPV.

      You know this.

They always bring up the B side yet that B side can never sell **** on their own.

how many PPV buy did Gatti get without Mayweather? He never had a PPV outside of that one, even the Oscar vs Gatti was on HBO.

      What about Judah?

His fight against Cotto did 220k PPV buys and against Mayweather it was 375k and he was coming off a loss against Baldomir.

Baldomir? That guy wouldn't have been able to see 1k PPV buys without Mayweather.

Oscar? His highest PPV sales ever was 1.4 and now he sells 2.4 million and out of the blue huh? Even DLH couldn't draw without a good dance partner as you see his fight against Campas did 350k and Javier Castilljo did 400k for the highest drawing PPV star ever.

Hatton? He did about the same that Pacquiao did yet Manny is never questioned about his drawing power when a year ago he was doing 200k against David Diaz.

This fight is going to be a big success.

One last thing, I'm pretty sure DLH/Hopkins did 1 million PPV buys.

          Bernard Hopkins-De La Hoya, 2004, 1 million, $56 million

Quit taking what anyone says so seriously and literally. All I'm pointing out is, B-Hop would've played whatever stereotype he needed to play to the hilt, had 24/7 been around for his fight with Queen Hoya.

B-Hop would've done and said whatever it took for that fight to sell!

That, I agree with. Bernard plays the bad guy, good, and I think he sort of likes it...I know I would, at least a little.
