1.3 million would make this the biggest non-heavyweight/non-Oscar fight. Do you see that kind of buzz in the mainstream? Nostradamus doesn't.

This is how I have come up with this extraordinary number.

Clottey/Cotto did 1.68 million viewers on HBO, it is the third highest rating of the year.

Cotto is a bigger draw in the US compared to Hatton, how many brits bought the PPV in the US with Hatton and Mayweather?? Hatton is a big draw in the UK but the PR PPV's and all the PR's living in the US will be buying this fight.

Believe it or not Pacquaio has transcended the sport of Boxing, I think his buzz and the potential fight against Mayweather helped the May/Marquez PPV buys since people wanted to see how Mayweather looked against a guy who gave a life and death fight to Pacquaio.

Golden Boy in my opinion is the best at promoting big fights but Pacquaio against Cotto is a guaranteed blockbuster, I visit MMA sites and I have seen a lot of the fans are going to buy the fight instead of watching the watered down free UFC. This fight will get mainstream buzz, 1.3 million that's my number.

The Mexican fans have embraced Pacquaio and they know who Cotto is from his fight against Margarito, Mexicans love Boxing. It's really the Mexican Americans who buy the fights to have a carne asada in the back yard and they will certainly be buying this fight. Let's not forget Chavez Jr who fights on the undercard, he brings a good amount of Mexican nationals to the table.

We can't forget all the Flips who will buy this fight on principle alone.

The biggest reason though is because people want to see Mayweather/Pacquaio and every fight leading up to their record breaking match-up is must see TV.
