I don't think it was comprehensive but I had Fury winning.

You're right that if Fury beats Usyk then Ngannou is forgotten. He'll be the best of the era with 3 good wins against champions.

But if he doesn't then he's the man who beat an old Klitschko in a low action dance off and then ran from the rematch, beat a very dubious champion in Wilder and... well there's nothing else really. That's it on his CV. Past prime Whyte?

Then the Wallin and Ngannou performances will come into focus. They'll look at the guys he picked like Schwarz and Chisora. There's every chance that he's nowhere near as good as he says he is.

      go boxing!
Forget how he looks. He's signed, he's had plenty of time... so it's the best version of Fury that he can manage.

I don't want to hear anyone claiming that he wasn't in great shape if Usyk beats him.

Maybe Fury isn't as good as he says he is but Joshua has proven he isn't.
Anthony Joshua is already the guy who beat an even older Klitschko - that sat him on his arse - and lost his belts to Usyk, then had an absolute mental breakdown in the ring when he couldn't win them back in a rematch.

If Fury loses to Usyk he'll still be remembered more fondly than Joshua cos that epic meltdown is gonna take some beating !!!

Maybe you can give him some pointers since you sound like you're an expert on the subject

Why then would he not retire with that as his legacy. Fück the haters, fûck the rematch and fúck Anthony Joshua.

He'd go down as the best of his era by beating 3 Champs : Klitschko, Wilder and Usyk.

No one will give a shït that he got cut up by Wallin or sat on his arse by Ngannou. In 20 years time no one will even remember them.

For just his life outside the ring The Gypsy King's tale will be told around campfires for a good minute. Beat Usyk and retire undefeated, undisputed and they'll talk about him forever!
As much as I dislike Fury ,everything written is absolutely the truth
I feel the same way about Canelo, just retire and be done with it
There’s no need for me to see him beaten from post to post
What I don’t agree with is him holding up the division with bullchit fights or strip him and finish it

The thing is Fury and his most ardent fans were the people calling this guy the greatest HW ever. That claim was always absurd given Fury’s thin résumé and up-and-down performances, but it was sustained more by Fury’s nonstop bluster more than anything else; much like Floyd constantly calling himself TBE. If Fury beats Usyk convincingly and then retires he’ll have a good claim to being the best HW of this generation, but he’d still be nowhere near the top of the ATG HW list because people will just say that Usyk was a blown up cruiser weight. He needs to fight AJ before he retires, or he hasn’t beaten all the best competition of his era.

Just like no one will remember AJ splattering the same MMA guy in another crossover exhibition bout.

But the AJ nuthuggers will cream themselves with every watch on endless loop...
That's not how the majority of the viewing audience saw it. They saw Fury get dropped and Ngannou landed more power punches with Fury escaping with a contentious split decision victory.

Your second point is addressed in the article. Because of the Ngannou performance, and the performances of his recent opponents, he MUST win the Usyk fight for his legacy.
