This fight is either cursed or Taylor is aging fast and isn't too sure if he wants to face Catterall again. Don't ever really wanna say that a dude is avoiding somebody, but Catterall really showed his class in the first fight and that might be in the back of Taylor's mind. Hopefully this comes off sooner rather than later bc this fight shoulda been happened by now.

Dan Rafael is reporting Taylor posted the below on his social media. Did his recovery slow because he'd been hitting the booze?

“To my fans, and everyone who bought a ticket and booked travel for April 27th, I sincerely apologize. I had a minor eye procedure at the beginning of February,” Taylor wrote. “A subsequent checkup showed that I was on the right path for April 27. I attended a final checkup (Wednesday) expecting to be signed off by the medical team. However, I was told that my recovery had slowed, and I was advised to postpone the fight.

“Thank you to Matchroom, DAZN, Top Rank and ESPN for moving so quickly to reschedule the fight for May 25th at the same venue. It will be worth the wait.”

That's what I've been saying since he got involved in that alcohol-related incident a few years ago. Drinking just kills the body, let alone the mind. Taylor is finished.
