      And only watched the first few seasons.
      But now I catch myself hooked on the re - runs.

      Sucks Boxings " The Contender " didn't hit as much.

        That format doesnt really work with boxing, it doesnt work with MMA now either.

        It worked for the UFC at the time because MMA had a small talent pool and the UFC had a small roster with relatively few cards per year, so the success rate in terms of being able to use the show to build stars who would then have success in the UFC was pretty high. Nowadays with cards every weekend and like a thousand people on the roster they all just get lost in the shuffle, nobody cares.
