Ppl with those takes don't realize attention = money these days. And those ppl also don't realize no one thinks they are gonna be the guy on the wrong end of that clip. Ppl like money & are optimistic about their chances lol.

And thats gonna mean even more non-boxers coming to boxing. Legit all this attention boxing is getting could end up leading boxing to a resurgence to being among the tip top sports like it used to be.

Helenius had weaker defence than Ngannou and got flattened. Wallin got brutalized. But Ngannou should retire??

For all the risk involved in boxing its probably safer than its ever been. Most of the serious injuries & deaths that happen are usually with talented guys in tough, long &/or competitive fights. The killer vs the trash ass guy fight where the trash ass guy gets hurt or killed by KO1 is more a myth than factual.

That said if Tyson kills Jake Paul in July I would agree it'll have an impact on the novelty boxers. I'd doubt it'll impact mma guys or other non-boxing combat sport athletes tho. Those guys are used to the risk & its already real to them.

I like the optimism and I hope you're right.

But alot of the views had to have come from the MMA fans.

            I doubt many will convert.

I stopped looking at it as Boxing vs UFC.
They each have their own lane.

But from conversations i've had with MMA fans.
They still try to shet on Boxing

Where did I say Ngannou should retire???? You are confused bruh. I was in another thread saying this L makes the talked about Wilder fight more viable. I would suggest Ngannou take a nice long break from fighting after that KO L tho.

The mma ppl I encounter tend to prefer mma, but respect boxing. Boxing is a part of mma. A true mma fan can't really hate on boxing. But I get them preferring mma while I personal enjoy boxing more but respecting mma.

                    Goes both ways though.

I think most MMA fans that **** on boxing are MMA casuals. The hardcore fans tend to be more overall combat sports fans in my experience.

You make a good point and you might be right.

Boxing is a part of my life.
                      But I respect MMA.

                      Funny thing is.
Most times I prefer watching re-runs of The Ultimate Fighter more than the actual fights.
