  • AJ is at his peak now

From Ruiz 2 to Helenius AJ was pretty ****e, why was this.

They took the totally wrong lesson from the Ruiz 1 loss and tried to make AJ this slick, defensive outside boxer which has never been his game.

The mistake he made vs Ruiz was to run in and start trading with an inside fighter at point blank range.

The only thing he needed to learn was not to do that.

They took all his strengths away from him as one of the best mid range counter punchers you will see in the game

It's been painful watching AJ waste his potential, running away from a cruiserweight who can't punch and gassing out in fights because he's fighting a style totally unsuited to him

Bring on Hrgovic next, I'm telling you now AJ will absoloutley flatline that guy.

He still lost to Usyk twice. I don't give a damn about your excuses.

Fury will probably remove gremlin head from the equation in may.

I dont know about that. But by keeping active and being disciplined hes staving off any potential decline a lot better than the fat gypsy cokehead thats for sure.

TS does have a point. AJ started declining when he no longer pulled the trigger. He's like the white Wlad Klitschko, he is scared to pull the trigger but when he does it has a devastating effect. He has that big bulky long body and he should make more use of it.

I think he likes instruction. Boxing to orders in Ruiz II was probably right because he absolutely had to win and Ruiz was a blob.

For this fight the chat was Davison tells him scenarios. If your opponent does this and then you can do that.

The way he uncorked the right hand basically the second Francis turned southpaw was considered. It was like if this happens then happy Christmas mate with you're right hand and how far apart he holds his hands. AJ's eyes lit up. Then he lit Francis up.

                  The black Wlad klitschko?

But yeah, people don't analyze fighters with a subjective view, styles make fights, but form, confidence, activity, these things also have a huge influence.

Ben is definatley the right trainer for AJ, he understands his strengths and when you have strengths which are A+ then you build around them, you don't abandon them to try and plaster over the perceived weaknesses.

Thankfully he got with Ben now and not in a couple of years when it would have been too late.

Parker is another example of this now he's with Andy Lee.
