Honest question. What is it about Canelo that makes him so popular?

    Kermit Cintron
    Shane Mosley (old)
Floyd Mayweather Jr. (old and still got taken to school)
    Erislandy Lara (lost)
Miguel Cotto (rehydrated to 20lbs more than Cotto)
    Amir Khan (weight bullied)
Liam Smith (rehydrated to 20lbs more than Smith)
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (dragged him down to 164lbs)
Gennadiy Golovkin (lost twice and beat a 41 year old debuting a 168lbs in a dull fight)
Daniel Jacobs (insisted on a rehydration clause in a 160lbs unification fight??)
Sergey Kovalev (quick turnaround only 6 weeks after opponent's last fight - opponent was an old alcoholic - rehydration clause for first time in career)
Callum Smith (had unofficially lost his last previous fight)
    Billy Joe Saunders
    Caleb Plant
    Dmitry BIvol (got played with)
    Jermell Charlo (weight bullied)

All those dudes won legitimate world titles at some point in their careers. He also fought contenders like:
    Josesito Lopez (weight bullied)
    Austin Trout
    Rocky Fielding (beneath domestic level)
    John Ryder

Is he making a fool of himself for considering fights like Berlanga or inactive Charlo over Benavidez and Morrell? Yes. But it doesn't change what he's done in the past. He has taken some Ls, got a few gift decisions, and popped for PEDs but he still ultimately has fought a ton of big names and tough competition and that gets a guy fans. Not that complicated.
    Fixed that up for you

Because he is Mexican, with atypical look.

Don`t fool yourselves, if he was German, Russian, Ukrainian...nobody would care to bring on all these old past prime Mosleys for him.

But I must also give Canelo some credit, he took some risks when he didn`t have to, for example fighting Mayweather, Lara, Trout, Bivol.

And he moved up in weight, not only once.

All together, here is your answer.

He’s from Mexico, he’s white, he’s red headed, and the Mexican Americans worship all that.

Keep making excuses, mad that your commie loser heroes can't accomplish sh.it. Commies like Bivol and Beterbiev are finally fighting after being belt holders at 175 since 2018/19.

Well, because, look at fami's list and the responses it inspired. You clearly have to be a pathetic **** to look at Canelo's career and think it's not that big a deal.

He is one of if not the greatest p4p fighter since Money.

If you don't agree, save it, we all already know it's because you got a tiny pee-pee.

He has a lot of names on his resume that have given him exposure and has had spectacular knockouts. Plus the look, he had an undefeated record, etc.
