I hope Ryan is well. I think he needs to take another break, and it's a good thing, for one's health.

It seems like a bad idea for him to fight Haney within the next month or two. Golden Boy should look out for him too, not just think of the money.

Ryan has made it pretty clear that he navigates his own career. GBP can advise (which they did for the Tank fight) to take a slower path (a la Munguia), but Ryan goes his own way. Ryan seems to be pretty paranoid about Oscar and GBP, so he would probably sue them if somebody tried to intercede against his wishes. Bottom line is that nobody in GBP can be expecting this relationship to last much longer, so they are probably just going with the flow. Oscar's body language during the 2nd Haney-Garcia press conference spoke volumes.

His "followers?" Who is he Jesus? He's being "oppressed?" How exactly? Thankful I grew up in a time when Instagram wasn't my God. I wish these guys well and will even probably be cheering for Ryan as the underdog but as a boxing fan I'm growing tired of the circus guys like Jermall Charlo and Ryan Garcia are turning boxing into... I prefer throwback fighters who carry themselves with class, but considering these guys backgrounds and what they do for a living expect some smack talking and bad blood here and there. This crybaby drama stuff is growing old fast though.

Couple things at play here.

1. Garcia is doing anything to get out of the fight, he fears not just losing, but humiliation, he looked terrible in his last fight, Haney looked elite.
2. His behavior is certainly not an act, he is in the midst of a breakdown in public
3. His handlers realize he is spiraling, and are eager to cash him out as soon as possible, hence, no update on his condition, they don't give a sh/t.

Can you imagine if Ryan Garcia shows up on 4/20 to fight Haney and beats him! That would be nuts considering how he has one foot out the door in his boxing career already. Feel bad for the boxing fans that bought tickets to this fight.
