Why wou.d the cash cow and pounf for pound best retire?? Just because a hater like you says so ? In that case Crawford should have retired a long time ago, only facing no names except in his last fight and fighting once a year. Let me guess you are Afro, and therefore cheer for your fighters. Canelo and any champion can fight any ranked oponent wether he has a name or not, sometimes guys with no names are better....Paquiao was not known on the States and was a beast.

Seeing Munuia in his last fight he looked like really sharp at 168. Could be a ruff fight for Canelo. I smell a possible upset.

Now if somewhere down the road, Canela decides he has to fight Benavidez, he should be offered a contract on percentages. Total price for the fight and money percentage for every round he fights. You offer Canela 50 million and this clown will quit in the first round, after taking a beating and claim his big toe on his r/foot is injured. Fighting for 3 minutes for 50 million, what a killing.
Haters like you not only sound styupid but ignorant at the same time. Canelo can fight whoever he wants, Benavidez or not, he is s first ballot hall of famer. Floyd Mayweather was the real clown always boring and receiving gift decisions, oh, but he was pound for pound and undefeated, a GOAT right??? GTFO out of here.

I don't care who Canelo fights as long as the opponent is not 8-1 dog or clear expected loser...so simplify your view...F the HOF and Mayweather...WHO DO YOU WANT TO SEE CANELO ALVAREZ FIGHT NEXT???

Yes he did. He wanted to fight Charlo and Haymon wanted Benavidez so cobarde-nelo used his out clause.

While Benavidez has been ready, willing, and able (and the most worthy) to fight Canelo, Alvarez instead has chosen: old-worn-out-1st-time-at-168-there-for-a-paycheck-now-unofficially-retired GGG, old-worn-out-never-really-beat-anybody-great-journey-man Ryder, out-of-the-ring-over-a-year-moving-up-two-weight-classes-there-for-a-paycheck Jermell, and now probably blown-up-record-fundamentally-and-defensively-deficient-gonna-get-knocked-the-f-out Munguia.

But we're not supposed to be mad Canelo is holding the belts hostage while never facing the best opponents, especially David Benavidez. Because, you know, Canelo will fight him in September. Yeah, September 20NEVER.
