I still laugh at all the people who say Froch got dominated for 11 rounds against Taylor. What garbage, that fight was close going into the 12th as you could tell by the press row scoring. Two of the official scorers were being very biased towards Taylor and one was being very biased towards Froch so I ignore their garbage.

Dirrell hasn't given Froch much respect from the begining he has been the instigator.

Carl Froch deserves alot of credit, if it were not for Froch do you think this tournament would be happening?

Yeah Showtime put the tournement together but where did they get there inspiration from, my opinion it was Carls willingness to travel to the USA and beat Taylor that inspired the people behind the scenes at Showtime to get the best fighting the best.

I expect they realised how much the crowd appreciated what Froch did that night and wanted to see a bit more of it.

This is a good post. Also, I don't thin the crowd were best pleased that night truth be told. Their fighter was about to win a SD but then got beaten around the ring for the last round and then KTFO! Stunned silence was the best description I think...

Agree, going in to the 12th i think Taylor was ahead by two points, with the knock down for Froch i'd have had it level and if Taylor took a knee in that last 20 seconds i think it's Froch's fight with a 10-7 round, i don't think Taylor should have been able to afford to take a knee.

I don't buy this Taylor gassed nonsense either, if you listen to Taylor at the end of the 9th he's asking his corner what round it is, Taylor didn't want to make an apperance for the 10th never mind the 12th.

Froch mentally broke Taylor, Taylor was at no point physically out on his feet, he didn't gas against Lacy maybe he slowed down a little but so would most. Fact is he couldn't handle Froch's hard shots for another minuite and Froch got well inside his mind and broke his heart.

How an earth you can compare Dirrell to Taylor is beyond comprehension.
Taylor is a world class fighter, who's beaten world class opponents. Dirrell has neither of the two.

You f**king deluded jokers. Dirrells getting KTFO.

Definately not best pleased but i think they could appreciate the achievement and for making the fight happen in the first place.

The beauty of this fight is that it's hard to predict how it's going to finish.

We know Dirrell is gonna dominate the opening rounds, we know Froch's chin is gonna get tagged repeatedly (he may even go down), we know Dirrell is gonna use lateral movement to throw Froch off. But what we don't know is whether Dirrell has the stamina, heart and chin to hold of Carl in the second half of the fight. And we won't know until the fight is over.

I re-watched the Taylor fight, and as much as he was getting outboxed, Carl did land some sneaky punches from round 3 onwards. And Dirrell has a habit of throwing with abandon and neglecting defence when he's on top.

If I was to be pushed into a prediction, I would say this fight might going the way as Juanma Lopez's fight last night, with Dirrell having the round from hell in the 12 after building up an early lead, and somehow miraculously holding on. But still losing on the cards.

                    Potentially great fight, mad excited.

What do you think of Carl's hilarious Leonard-Hearns-Hagler comments, man?

                      Ain't they great??
