I think the fight would do around 300-500k ppvs at least if marketed correctly. The budget would be tight but if PBC believes in benevidez then a 50M offer could have been possible. Benevidez would have had to take a pay cut tho. Not saying it’s not a duck that’s just the economics
Supposedly Canelo was offered $55million to fight BenavidezComment

PBC is right to get out of the Canelo business right now. He’s a faded, plodding force who hasn’t been the same as a fighter since Bivol made him look silly and now he comes up with excuses not to fight the guys who would draw the PPV numbers worth his high guarantee (Benavidez and Crawford, namely). Meanwhile, the boxing media continues to keep peddling the fantasy that Canelo is still some great PPV draw (because it’s in their industry’s self-interest to keep pushing that fiction) and opportunistic low-talent dummies like Berlanga still think they can get massive cashing-out paydays just by fighting him. I do think Munguia, Benavidez and Crawford want to fight Canelo for the right reasons - sure they will take the payday but they also want to give fans what they want to see by pitting their skills against a Canelo (even a clearly fading one).
But Canelo will stall on fighting Munguia because he’s with Oscar He won’t fight Benavidez at all because he doesn’t want to lose to another Mexican who will take his place at the top of the green, red and white ladder that Canelo’s tried to pull up behind him so that other top Mexican fighters can’t take away his spotlight. And he won’t fight Bud because he knows he might actually lose to a blown-up welterweight.
PBC is the true winner in this deal - let Canelo go back to having Eddie Hearn kiss his feet at every turn and feed him g****s and bums.

that's just baloney - manipulated ranking based on an unbeaten record - but who has he beaten an what did he look like beating them. Mbilli an Morrell and Munguia are more deserving than Berlanga an pretty sure they all beat him too - pretty sure Plant beats Berlanga, and Charlo and Bud - Berlanga shouldn't be anywhere near a fight with CaneloComment

2. I’ve never defended any of them or any boxer who was ducking, so I can say whatever I want. Unlike you, I’m not a hypocrite.
3. This is one of the more blatant cases of ducking you’ll ever see in boxing so even if it hurts your delicate feelings, people are going to discuss it. Ya fkn ass clown.
