Is it opponent or money? Why would he be so desperate to fight Charlo? And allegedly PBC offered $55m for it to be Benevidez. And how does the mexican TV deal affect things? And didn't he quit DAZN similarly to go on a fight by fight basis?

If nothing else the publicity has been fantastic but if he still fails to fight Benevidez it's still a quack attack

People need to manage their expectations lol. As fans of the sport we expect certain things forgetting that this is boxing and the business model and regulations are not like pro leagues.

Not making excuses, but add the fact that Canelo has been fighting as a pro since 2005 and already faced the big names from the previous era. This has been an extended fare well your like I said years ago. He's managing the pressures from his entourage and of the people to whom he feels indebted and craving his path out of the sport as safely as he can.. The only way he can live safely and in peace moving forward. This is boxing, never forget that..

Mugunia is equal to Charlo yet berlanga is far before Crawford mismatch & tremendously below Benavidez or Morrell (Canelo) 2 biggest treats @ 168 for the past year or 3 (Benavidez). Only justification is Canelo taking on the Bivol vs Beterbiev winner after the Mugunia win. Yet as Bivol manhandled Canelo mixed with him dodging Benavidez & Morrell larger SMW I don't see such.

Well pretty clear PBC didn’t have the money to make the benevidez fight. Reynoso alluded to that in his interview when he said they needed to get things in order for the fight to happen. Sucks for boxing in general

In order to justify canelo making the money he was promised, he needed to take a fight that would generate money as his previous fights have not drawn to justify his cut. PBC insisted on Benavidez or even Crawford and canelo wanted no one other than charlo. That fight won’t do the numbers necessary so canelo basically ran away to avoid Benavidez. On e of the most cowardly displays you’ll ever see in a combat sport.
