          Fact that he was contacting other fighters not affiliated with PBC means PBC is not in full control. In my view, the sudden disappearance of Showtime made the contract invalid. PBC became just another option for Canelo out of courtesy, instead of something that is set in stone. Nobody expected SHO to exit that early.

              What's the worst thing that can happen? Bivol/Beterbiev winner gets stripped of the WBC title if they don't fight Benavidez (assuming he beats Gvozdyk)? They'll still have the other three belts. The interim title is a meaningless gesture because Benavidez will probably move back down, win or lose.
