canelos part of the contract was to give pbc 3 fights, pbcs part was to pay canelo at least 35 million a fight,... contract can be void if either part fails to fulfill obligations. Not much hidden here...
It was well known that showtime was a big part of the deal in order to help cover the guarantee on ppvs..
amazon is not on the ppv business, they want free fights for prime video subscribers..
you dont really need a calculator to know that 1+1=2..
And that's the only way he can leave? What about if they can't agree on the fight choices which seems to be the reason. Canelo had the same problem with Dazn when he sued them when they refused to pay him his big money for fighting bums.

Has nothing to do with Bivol..

PBC going down the same route as Oscar trying to force Canelo to fight a opponent of their choosing.

If it doesn't get resolved soon Canelo won't fight on may 4th

That was more complex, canelos contract was with golden boy , it was golden boy who had the deal with dazn which included canelo. There was differences between canelos contract with golden boy and dazn deal with golden boy, it was really shady from oscar...
that is the reason canelo left golden boy..
There was a breach of contract, which again goes to point that one of the two failling to fullfill the contract allowed canelo to be a free agent..

Like Canelo tucking tail and not wanting to fight anyone PBC offers.
If that was the case pbc could have froze canelo if the guarantee was there, instead of just letting him freely go to another network..
we should know the details soon, but my guess is that pbc going from showtime to amazon was a big part of all this mess..

Freezing out the biggest name in boxing one fight into a three fight deal would basically prevent ANYONE from signing with PBC in the future though.

It makes sense that both sides would have protection in the contract and if they failed to have a mutual agreement on opponents the contract was void. It protects both sides.

Canelo running back to Eddie Hearn to fight more bums. What a shock.

Oh no, the mess is for the choice on the opponents.
