These belts have been a scam for a long time. All of them. Everyone knows this or should know this.
And no one in boxing with power is fighting against this. They are all playing the same game of pretending these belt groups just do fooked up sh^t here & there then the whole operation of these belt groups are a scam & hurt the sport every day.Comment

This interim BS needs to stop. But despite what they say publicly, these opportunist promoters love it. “More belts. Easier to sell to punters!” Joke. Cheapens real championsComment

Said this to Pandas the other night. Beterbiev just defended the WBC belt one month ago, and has already signed to defend it again against Bivol. The sheer fact that Whoricio is making an Interim title to protect Canelo is fking disgusting.Comment

Back in the day the interim title usually meant the champion was hurt & could not make his obligated title defence. The 2 top contenders would then fight for the interim title with the winner getting first crack when the champion returned or would become full champion if the “Real” champion still couldn’t return in a reasonable amount of time. Then they would be champion in recess or emeritus & would be granted an immediate title shot once they were able to return. Now instead of an eliminator they call it a interim title fight just to get sanctioning fees. The champion is still active for *** sakes…Last edited by joe strong; 02-25-2024, 09:59 AM.Comment

Hopkins took the WBA to court as far back as 2001 to try to prevent them naming a 'regular' champion from the winner of Joppy - Eastman after he'd won the real belt from Trinidad. Sadly he failed.Comment

Surprised no one else noticed this nice example of corruption.
Simple. Benavidez is a PBC guy, and WBC, WBA and IBF are all in PBC's pocket. Yes, in that order.Comment
