No shade on Canelo, but as great as all of his accomplishments have been, his biggest threat at the moment has been his mandatory for 2 years and is always dismissive of questions in regards to Benavidez. Don't believe Canelo is ducking anybody bc it's all business for him and he has the power to do whatever he wants, but he definitely knows Benavidez is something far different than all those great fighters he's faced. There is no denying that this is THE fight the boxing world wants.

I dont think David is a lock to win or anything. I am more a David fan than Canelo fan tho & I think David does win, but mostly I just wanna see this fight happpen regardless of outcome.

Samson Lewkowicz was lying about the David Morrel fight (fight is signed and David will fight him, of course both lies) and now he is lying about the Canelo offer, and again lied and deleted the tweet.

Both of them don't really want the fight now, both sides trying to save face because they know the fight will just become much bigger if David can get another 1-2 quality wins since his last PPV really bombed, look it up.

I understand. I just try to address things from a neutral perspective as a general fan of the sport. Folks gotta understand that boxing is always a business first and that's how it has to be addressed. Anybody that criticizes Canelo on how he handles business would be doing the same thing if they had the same power in a brutal, unforgiving sport like this. Putting that aside, neither guy is a lock for a fight like this bc both guys are dominant fighters that have never seen anything like the other guy. That's the intrigue about this one. Both guys are gonna hafta go thru hellfire if they wanna win this bout and they both know it IMO. Just hoping it happens at some point soon like everyone else.

Was willing to support Canelo for a while, but his latest fights since getting spanked by Bivol just don't inspire much. He's making bank though, so good for him. Just not getting any of my money for his cherry pick fights.

Of course theirs a duck going if not from Canelo then from his team. It's probably the biggest fight out their so what's the excuse for not making it happen. Champions today are so protected it makes a mockery from all the great champions from the past.

The truth his team thought Canelo could walk past bigger champions but Bivol exposed him and they know Benavidez is bigger than Canelo and know he will be over powered it's as simple as that, Canelo can never be in the same breath as Sugar Ray Leonard, Sugar Ray Robinson, Marciano, Hagler, Duran, Hearns, Foreman, Dempsey, Ali and most of the greats from the past his shown his true colours now.
