This fight will serve as a defining moment in both fighter's careers. Given that Zhang is 40 years old, a rematch for him gives him one last chance to stay in title contention. Parker likely agreed to it because he has no better path to another shot at a title.

          I dislike rematch clauses.

I get it though. Zhang is old and this is a voluntary defense that risks his title shot. And it's apparently business as usual in the heavyweight division.

But rematch clauses are a stain.

Rematch clauses, I'm sick of it.

Rematchroom & Kanye stalled & killed the division creating a system where every fight it's only half time when they loose clinging onto they're paper belts. Now mandatories are doing the same with the mandatory??
Before them rematches were made by popular demand AFTER! a great fight. The powers that be need to do something.

Zhang for 40 moves great & if Parker makes it past rd8 & he is durable Zhang could be in trouble.

Well here's the Logic of the Big **** Theory and the elephant in the room. Zhang's a 40 year old, Southpaw Chinese heavyweight fighting in the West...with the west actively in conflict with China about all kinds of issues including Taiwan, supporting ***** and replacing the US currency. There is motive to have him fail. If he does fail to beat Parker, he rightfully should not proceed. It means he's not good enough. If he does beat Parker and the forces against him prevail on the scorecards, he'll have a chance to reverse it. At 40, if he loses, he's going on the heap like Luiz Ortiz, which actually might be his next fight. I don't blame Zhang. He's fighting two heavyweights at the same time. However if he does win, he opens up the Chinese market like never before, and the Saudi's will gladly make him richer.

He's got a good chance for a decision win over Zhang in my opinion
Parker is too small for Emperor Zhang. Joe gets stopped in 7 or 8. Zhang is not a shot Wilder.

Zhang has only lost once, a robbery against the Croatian stuff. He's 40, but what punishment has he taken?
