Zhang looked like a bad mfer vs Joyce both times, but lets not forget hes old as hell, went life or death with Jerry fooking Forrest & while I thought he eeked out that Filip fight myself it was a close fight. Zhang isn't close to unbeatable in general or for Joe specifically.
We shall see in a few weeks, won't we? I'll be heading over to DraftKings and putting putting Emperor Zhang in one of my parlays.

Zhang would rather be facing fury or usyk. But if Zhang is going to take an extra fight against parker he don't need, then Zhang is deserving
He deserves a rematch? They haven't even fought yet. If Parker destroys him why exactly does he "deserve" a rematch?

Because he is risking his mandatory position.

I don't think rematch clause are as bad as people make out. It gives fighters the opportunity to avenge a loss. We get a chance to see if it was a fluke or if fighters can make adjustments etc.

Fury/Wilder is considered a great trilogy.
Canelo/GGG first 2 fights were good.
AJ/Ruiz and Eubank Jr/Liam Smith had different results so weren't boring repeats.
Joyce/Zhang proved it wasn't a fluke and we got an explosive KO.
AJ/Usyk and Haney/Kambosos were a bit boring and unnecessary yes.

The. There's situations like Loma vs Lopez and Haney where a rematch clause might have come in handy.

Obviously. And again I'm not saying Zhang won't win, I favor him too, but I am saying suggesting he can't lose is ridiculous.

I'm speaking strictly in terms of father time. I mean, can you see him winning a championship @ 42 or 43? If he's going to become a champion, the time is now.

Regardless on boring it was the former champ deserved the opportunity to avenge his loss especially since it was shocking defeat to most fans
