It seems unlikely that he will fight Chocolatito since:

    1. Their promoter Akihiko Honda doesn't want them to fight.

    2. Gonzalez is near retirement.

However the fact that Bam having wins over Cuadras, Edwards, Rungvisai and pontentially Estrada at age 24 seems like he could have Hall of fame status even if he wanted to retire right after. Hope he gets to fight Kazuto Ioka and Fernando Martinez at Super Flyweight then test himself at 118.

Good for David. Good luck to him. Gvozdyk is a real test.

Canelo will pick a handicap and now avoid Morrell, who may himself chase David up into LHW.

The odds of Bam fighting Chocolatito are slim since they're both with Akihiko Honda.

Sulaiman has made a lot of comments lately, said Canelo and David have been in talks, said DB has been made Canelos mandatory and now this, history has shown in boxing anything can happen and often out of the blue, Id sooner wait and see who Canelo confirms he is fighting next or Davids 175 fight is official, we all hope its Benavidez but until it is or it isn't its just pissing in the wind.

Looks like Benavidez's promoter stated that this is the back up fight, if Canelo doesn't accept proposed 55 million to fight David.

He be fighting in July whether it's with Canelo at 168 or Gvozdyk at 175.

Good fight and good for Benavides that he is not sitting waiting around for Canelo. The sanctioning bodies are all in cohoots in not enforcing the mandatory fight.

He had been active recently having three fights in 2023.
David has posted on his IG that its on, and he's just waiting for a date. Basically official then. Wow. Looks like Canelo fight is finally dead in the water. He would not be doing this if Canelo was on the table this year.

That's really disappointing man, that pontentially could had been the best fight for 2024.

At least David is getting busy and testing himself. If Canelo actually decides to fight David at some point, he will fighting a even more dangerous version of Benavidez.

Benny and Sr had warned that if Canelo would not take the fight then he would be moving up
As long as he’s notwaithing around for Canelo , I’m truly happy and I hope he tells him to fugh off when and if he comes calling but I know the money will be to tempting
