Both of these guys are slugs that shouldve been out of the game for a long time now, not trying to win a championship.

The Usyk/Dubois fight was the WBA mandatory which consolidated the regular & real title which Usyk won. A few days later it came out that Charr sued King & the WBA for getting wrongfully stripped which he won. The WBA had no choice but to reinstate Charr as regular champion. So here we go again. The WBA ruled that Charr would need to defend the belt twice before he would become mandatory. Originally it was Jarrell Miller but no bids were made but that was because Miller got the Dubois fight in Dubai. So Pulev is his first defence. The winner will have to defend it again before becoming mandatory. I think the winner of this fight will end up fighting for the real belt in a vacant title fight once undisputed is complete.
      Thanks man. That was helpful.

I think it's important to make it clear that Don King is the reason Charr has been re-instated. Don King won the purse bid for the Charr-Bryan fight and it was his responsibility to make sure Charr had all the paperwork he needed to get an athlete visa for the USA. King deliberately delayed and then failed to provide Charr with the paperwork, so he couldn't come to the USA.

The WBA should have called out King's shenanigans and stripped him of the fight rights. Instead, they stripped Charr of his belt and essentially gave it to King's fighter Bryan by agreeing to let the washed up Stiverne and the talentless Bryan fight for Charr's belt. Charr wasn't the one unwilling to fight to defend the belt. It was Don King that blocked him from fighting. The court could see that so they ruled against the WBA and forced them to reinstate him. Don King is corrupt and the WBA enabled his corruption.

I actually like these washed up HW fights. They are evenly matched & sometimes you get a good scrap out of it. Still thing the best washed up HW matchup was Francois Botha vs Michael Grant. It was a surprising good scrap for a couple of 40 year olds. This fight has to be motivating because a big pay day is around the corner. I would assume if WBA belt becomes vacant the winner of this will fight the winner of Bakole/Chaney.

Thank you. What a wild ride it has been for Charr.

Incorrect. He did not win the lawsuit. In fact he had to dismiss the lawsuit versus King. The WBA reinstated him in an effort to settle the lawsuit versus them. He was stripped because he was unable to secure a US Visa and is still unable to do so - in spite of having US counsel for over 8 years. Main reason he was forced to dismiss the lawsuit versus King is that he couldn’t travel to the US to stand for deposition and/or trial. Why do you think he is fighting in Bulgaria?

Charr is a fraud and should get smoked by Pulev - even at 42. Hopefully never to be heard from again.
