Never questioned the money he garnered or even why these fighters are waiting around ( $$$$$ )
But GGG is mostly remembered for being the one waiting around or chasing Canelo
By doing so , imo , that fughed up what he was really about

No, we don't The dynamics of Canelo's fight are much different given it is eye-to-eye vs looking at the chest of Benavidez and Morrell. Also, Canelo has gotten into a habit of loading up and throwing single telegraphed shots. I suspect Crawford coming up 2 weights (ala Leonard vs Hagler) will find away to get in the fight in the championship rounds. If Canelo was a 6'1+ monster like Morrell and Beavidez, we'd sing a different tune. Thanks.

You did ask if anyone has learned from GGG's situation...do you believe that GGG made a bad decision?

Financially , I can’t speak for that although I’m certain he’s made good money
As the way he’ll be remembered , definitely
I think he deserved much more than what people transpire

Crawford at 168 would be slower than Canelo. More weight on him will slow him down.

And he would find it a hard way how is it when a strong guy cracks.

I am not even sure Crawford beats Tim at 154.

I honestly think Crawford & Canelo is a competitive fight. I'm not saying Bud wins but I damn sure wouldn't count him out completely either.

I think GGG is one of the rare examples of a fighter getting to have his cake and eat it too. GGG was ill-fated to have an uneventful career trapped in Germany; a dangerous fighter from a oddly-named country with a weird last name whom everyone would avoid and who would've retired bitter and frustrated. GGG ended his career fighting his generation's cash-cow thrice, and potentially becoming a HOF in the process. Meanwhile, what has become of the guys whom he should've faced, Andrade and Jermall?

What Benavidez can replicate from GGG's formula is staying active. Benavidez has already made the mistake of being a PPV fighter before his star-power made it necessary. Benavidez needs to get off PPV and fight the best available, but the temptation of Canelo won't allow his team to do what needs to be done.

                    I agree here.

If you are not a star, don`t fight on PPV and fight all guys that want to fight you.

GGG was also a guy with elite amateur pedigree and a KO maschine, that was why his star power raised.

A blessing and a curse. GGG's reputation made him a high-risk/low-reward opponent, so he needed some good fortune in order to increase his star-power too. Benavidez has the advantage of being young and Mexican-American, and he's vulnerable enough to be a desirable opponent. David should be facing Morrell or Mbilli next. The fact that he believes beating Andrade means something is part of the problem. Benavidez was also looking to fight Jermall and Munguia, so it's pretty obvious that his team is being very careful with whom he fights next.
