He lost the first ggg fight and then got a gift and won the third after ggg was old…after waiting several years to fight ggg. Enough of this bullshyt narrative that canelo has given so much so he doesn’t owe fans anything. When you’re holding titles hostage, demanding over 30 mil and fighting on ppv, you have an obligation to make the best fights. We could say Floyd at 36, Cotto at 35 and Mosley at 40 didn’t owe it to canelo to fight him, but they did and helped make him the name he is today. Canelo hasn’t given fans a fight they’ve truly wanted over the last 10 yrs other than ggg and even then he ducked him for 2 years. Shyt or get off the pot. About a third of this article is correct. On fighting Golovkin, stalled / ducked him for three years, due to a 5 lb. difference in weight. Claims he is giving the fans the BEST fights ???????? On the Bivol fight, someone gave him bad advice (dared to be great). He was thinking or told, go in there throw a few punches and you will win. After maybe winning one round, was slapped around for the other 11 rounds. Could have been a bad dream !!!!!! On the Mayweather fight, he tried to box the boxer and failed. If we as boxing fans keep putting pressure on Canelo to fight Benavidez, the stress could force him to "RETIRE" or have health issues.

It would actually be really good trolling if he fought Benavidez on May 4, and said "I told you I was going to fight an American. Benavidez isn't a real Mexican. He's just pretending for the Mexican fans."

I'm expecting to be disappointed by the fight announcement though.

I thought about that too. Although benavidez promoter confirmed there's no canelo fight on the horizon.
